To all you girlies! Here are some tips for long, healthy hair. I hope they help you but if you really want to look after your hair you've got to be committed to this just a warning don't expect to wake up with really long hair it takes time, be patient young grasshopper:) sorry I won't drag it out any longer lets get started!;)

Tip number 1: this may be obvious but to all aliens reading, heat products are extremely damaging! If you have to use them do it on rare occasions and use heat protectors so they will be sucking the moisture out of that and not your beautiful hair. This also includes hair dryers, it's right in the name!!

Tip number 2: when it comes to split ends it's not very hard. If you have really bad ends like half way up your strand or multiple splits cut them off. Simple as that, for some of you that may be a lot but trust me it helps. Many of us can just deal with it ourselves but get a haircut if it's really bad. What I see a lot of girls doing especially when they're bored is they get their split ends and they peel it like right up the strand and oh my goodness it irritates me so don't do this if you want long hair! All your doing is losing lengths the further you pull the end. Note: make sure to use sharp sheers using paper scissors will cause more splits.

3rd tip: don't tease or backcomb your hair! It's unnecessary, there are other ways to get the look you want without all the damage.

4th tip: when you shampoo your hair make sure you don't use your nails. This is really bad for your scalp, use the pads of your fingers to gently massage your scalp. This will lift all the dirt and grease. Also there's not really any need to shampoo your ends unless you have like some sort of product in your hair. One more thing. Don't wash your hair everyday! Try every 2nd or 3rd day if you can.The first few days it might be greasy, try a dry shampoo if your desperate but over time it will adjust and wont be as greasy. By washing it everyday it's stripping your hair of its natural oils which causes it to be dry and lifeless.

5: when conditioning I don't worry about my scalp, just like half an inch bellow my ears. Your roots are already getting all the nutrients it needs where as the ends not so much. Before I condition I gently ring out my hair just so its not soaking wet because I find it soaks up the product better dryer.

6: for your last at least 30 seconds of your shower blast your hair with cold water. I know it's hard! Especially in winter but it pays off. This locks in all the nutrients and helps to seals the cuticle. This tip is especially good for brunettes to have a shinier look.

Seis(omg like my Spanish)don't brush your hair when it's wet. It is at its weakest point so brushing is a no no. Wait until your hair is at least 80% dry .I'll just slip in one more thing. Be gentle! Don't rip into your hair when you brush it, it breaks you hair soo easily.

Siete(gasp! There I go again!) like I mentioned before keep the blow drying to a minimum. Let it naturally air dry and like I said before about being gentle, if you still have moisture in your hair squeeze it out instead of roughly rubbing it with a towl.

Number 8: got frizzy hair? Hide that brush away and get a wide tooth comb, it decreases frizziness and is really cheap at dollars shops:)

Number 9: you particularly need to take good care of your hair in summer, what you do in summer? You swim and chlorine is really really bad. Get your hair wet before you go into the pool so it won't soak up as much chlorine and tie it up. Even better put a conditioner in. Once your out don't leave it to dry get your but into the shower and wash all of it out cause once the chlorines in there it's not leavin.
