As the door clicked shut behind Jungkook, YN sat still for a moment, the lingering warmth of his touch still tingling on her skin.
She could hear his footsteps fade down the hall, each step pulling him farther away from her.
She let out a slow breath, the weight of his absence already settling in her chest. Sliding out of bed, she padded to the window, pulling the curtain aside to watch him.
Jungkook was walking toward the sleek black car waiting at the curb, his posture straight and confident, but she could see the way his shoulders tensed under the weight of the mission ahead.
Her heart ached as she pressed her hand against the cool glass. "Come back to me," she whispered softly, as if the wind might carry her words to him.
Just as he reached the car, Jungkook paused. He turned, as though sensing her gaze, and their eyes met from a distance.
His lips curved into a small smile, and he raised a hand in a silent promise.
YN placed her fingers against the glass in reply, her lips forming the words, "I'll wait for you."
He nodded once before slipping into the car, the door shutting with a resolute thud.
The engine roared to life, and within seconds, he was gone, leaving behind only the faint echo of his promise.
Back in the quiet of the apartment, YN wrapped herself in Jungkook's blanket, his scent still lingering in the fabric.
She curled up on the couch, her mind racing with thoughts of his mission. She hated the danger but admired his courage and sense of duty.

°In the car, A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he stared out the window, the city blurring past him.
No matter where his mission took him, YN was his anchor, the one thought that grounded him through the chaos.
"I'll come back to you," he murmured to himself, tightening his grip on the duffle as the car sped toward the airport.
The mission ahead was dangerous, but Jungkook's determination was stronger than ever. There was someone waiting for him-a love worth fighting for.
At Italy ~
The rooftop was quiet, save for the distant hum of the city below. Jungkook leaned against the railing, the cool metal pressing against his forearms as he stared at the fiery hues of the setting sun.
Rome stretched out beneath him, vibrant and alive, but his thoughts were elsewhere-on you.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, unlocking it with a practiced swipe. His thumb hovered over the gallery before he scrolled through the photos, each one a memory etched in pixels.
One picture of you smiling, carefree and radiant, made him pause. He couldn't help but smile back, his heart aching with longing.
"You keep me grounded," he murmured softly, almost to himself. "No matter how crazy things get, just thinking about you makes it all feel worth it."
