From the clouds, down on earth

The beginning

    Up in the sky, on a cloud, there is a big city named Sunland. The people there are immortal. Each of them have a part in the world's destiny. The city was built by Sun and Moon. They became the parents of the sky world. From a city to an entire sky world.
Sunland was the first city built and there lived a girl named Sunrise, one of Sun's and Moon's daughters. The girl was 19, but there in the sky world the age doesn't matter that much. The people get old only by age, not by looks. Sunrise secretly loved this boy, named Night, but never had the courage to talk to him. He was very popular in the city, but she wasn't as popular as he was.
    One day she was in the city park, taking a walk, when suddenly she saw Night with his group of friends. She turned to walk away, but heard a voice calling:
    ,,Sunrise! Hey, Rise! Come here. "
    Sunrise slowly, being scared of what might happen and of what stupid thing she might say. She walked towards them, hoping that they would not make fun of her.
    ,, Hello there, Rise. Why turn around when seeing us? We're not that bad, are we?" he said with a sarcastic tone in his voice.
    ,, Uhm... No... It's just that... I'm not cool enough to hang out with you so...better turn away than being laughed at, you know."
    ,,Who said we were going to laugh at you?"
    ,,No one. Just my thoughts."
    ,,Some stupid thoughts you have there pretty girl. We are not that bad. Popularity doesn't mean being mean to others."
    ,,But popular kids do that anyway."
    ,,Sorry if we gave you that wrong impression about us."
    ,,I... I really have to go...bye" Rise said in the shyest way possible
    ,,Catch you later then, Rise. Bye"
    She walked fast, almost breaking into a run. Her heart was beating faster than a cheetah running after a gazelle. She couldn't believe that Night knows her name and actually talked to her.
    Ad Ride gets home, she is so happy that she starts jumping and screaming around the house. Her best friend, Sweet Dreams, comes in and she sees her like that:
    ,,Sunrise! What in the world are you doing? Do you intend to wake up the dead ?"
    ,,The dead are a million miles away, buried on earth."
    ,,The way you are screaming, you can wake up a dead man that buried is in another galaxy."
    ,,That's nice. Glad I have such a powerful voice."
    ,,Now what's with all the screaming?"
    ,,I talked with night!!"
    ,,Really?? You went and talked to him?"
    ,,Nope. He called me and I talked to him and his buddies."
    ,,I can't believe it! I'm so happy for you, Rise! And...was Nightmare there?"
    ,,No..he wasn't. I'm sorry, Sweet."
    ,,Hey it's alright. No reason to be sorry about."
    Nightmare was the boy that Sweet Dreams liked very much. And what she didn't know was that he liked her, too. But their parents didn't want them to be together so they lied to them to keep them apart. Nightmare's dad told him that if he gets close to her, she will get sick and die because his destiny is opposite to her's. The power of the good and bad together would destroy her. Since his father told him that, Mare kept himself far from Sweet so she wouldn't get hurt. So Sweet believe that he hates her and that's the reason why he keeps avoiding her.
    The next day, Sweet was staying on the sofa, watching TV, when she heard a knock on the door. She went and opened the door. It was Night.
    ,,Hey, Sweet Dreams. Is Rise home? "
    ,,Maybe she is, maybe she's not. What kind of business do you have with her?"
    ,,I want to talk to her. Just talk. Im alone,you can see that. I'm not here to do anything to make her feel bad. I saw yesterday that she is scared of talking to me. I just want to tell her that she has reason to be scared."
    ,,You like her."
    ,,What?"
    ,,You like her. That's why you came here. You liked her yesterday and now you want to make her like you too. Make her talk to you more."
    ,,Uhm...no I don't. It's not that. I..."
    ,,Don't be stupid, ok? She likes you too and I don't want my best friend hurt."
    ,,I'll do my best."
    Sweet turned away and shouted :
    ,,Suunriiiise!! You have a visitor. Come here. Fast!"
    ,,Ok! Coming!"
    She rushes down the stairs, she sees Night and freezes.
    ,,Hey, Rise. Can we talk?"
    ,,I... I... Y... Ye..."
    ,,She says yes, Night. Go ahead. I'll leave you two alone. Bye, Rise!"
    ,, B...By... Bye, Sweet."
    Sweet leaves the house and pushes Night in the house. Rise is still frozen at the bottom of the stairs. Night goes a little closer.
    ,,Hey, Rise."
    ,, H... Hi."
    ,, Do... Do you wanna sit down?"
    ,, Yeah... Why not..."
    ,,You know, you can come and stay with us sometimes. When you don't have plans with Sweet."
    ,, Really?" Thanks..."
    ,, I'm serious, you know. I'm not trying to make fun of you. I'll like to see you around more often." Night says with a shy smile.
    Rise can see he is serious. She is so happy. She is very glad that he wants her around. She is thinking that maybe he likes her too.
    ,, I'd like to see you more often, too. Maybe I can come with Sweet too."
    ,, That would be great. It would be fun."
    He looks at her smiling. He gets closer and for a second he looks at her mouth. Rise notices that and smiles. She gets closer too and in the next second Night grabs her head and kisses her. Rise puts her hands on his chest and kisses him back. They kiss for a while until Sweet Dreams storms in, screaming:
    ,,Riiise!! There is a shoe sale in town!!"
    Night jumps at the sound of the door opening and when Rise sees Sweet she jumps too.
    ,, Are you kidding me!? That's why you stormed like that? That's the reason you did this? Because there is a shoe sale!?"
    ,, I'm sorry, Rise. I..."
    ,, Rise, i think i should go. See ya later."
    ,, Do you really have to? Ok... Bye"
    ,,Bye."
    Night leaves the house and Rise looks at Sweet, angry.
    ,,He kissed me. You ruined it. You ruined the moment."
    ,,Im sorry, Rise. Please don't be mad at me."
    ,,I can't be mad at you, Sweet, you know that. A little sad you ruined my moment, but it's ok."
    ,, That's why I love you, Rise"
    ,,I love you, too, Sweet."
    ,, Now, shoe shopping."
    Rise laughs hard while leaving the house. She hugs Sweet tight and then they go together to the shoe shop.
    That evening, Night comes to Rise, surprising her and bringing her flowers. They talked and had a great time together. He asked her on a date and,of course, she said yes.
    From that day on they become the finest couple in Sunland.
    Until one day, after three months of dating, when Rise caught him kissing another girl.
    ,, What in the world are you doing?"
    ,, Rise! Rise it's not what it looks like! Please!"
    ,, No! Leave me alone! We are done! Done! Leave me alone!"
    She runs away, crying. She hits a couple of people on the way, but she finally gets home. Sweet runs after her on the stairs asking her to stop, but Rise isn't stopping.
    ,, Rise! Risee! Rise, what happened? What's wrong?"
    ,, Leave me alone!"
    ,, If you tell me what in the world happened I promise that i will leave alone as much as you sweet little soul wants. Now what is wrong??"
    ,, I saw him kissing another girl."
    ,, What?"
    ,, You heard me"
    ,,What did you do when you saw them?"
    ,, I shouted at him and I broke up with him."
    ,, What did he say?"
    ,, I don't know. I ran away."
    ,, Oh, Rise, I'm so sorry. Come here."
    Sweet takes Rise hands and than hugs her. Rise bursts into tears and hugs Sweet.
    After some more crying, Rise went upstairs and locked herself up in her room.
    All this time Night tried several times to reach ou to her but she wouldn't listen or talk to him. After a week, he gave up knowing that no matter how hard he would try, she wouldn't respond to him.
    But after two months something happened. Something that changed Rise's and Night's life forever.
    Rise went to Night's house, but he wasn't there. She had to find him. Quick. She searched all over the city. She looked everywhere. She finally found him in the park. She went straight to him and said:
    ,, Night, i need to talk to you. "
    , Wow, after two months you realize that you miss me. That's nice."
    ,, Please, Night. I really have to talk to you. It's very important."
    ,, Then talk to me."
    ,, No, Night. Not here. Only us. Please. It's private."
    ,, I'm not going anyway. You want to talk to me, shoot. "
    She takes a deep breath and than says:
    ,, I'm pregnant."
    Night falls, then gets up fast. He is shocked. He feels guilty. He cheated on his pregnant girlfriend. And then acted like a jerk. He goes slowly toward her.
    ,, Really?"
    ,, Yes.", she says with tears in her eyes. ,, I thought that you should know."
    ,, When... When did you find out?"
    ,,Yesterday. I went to a doctor and found out. I'm in the third month...."
    Night starts crying. After a minute, he says, with tears in his eyes:
    ,, A baby. I... I have a baby?"
    ,, Yes. You are going to become a father, Night. "
    ,, I... I..."
     He takes Rise in his arm, hugs her tight. He whispers in her ear:
    ,, I'm very sorry I acted like a complete jerk. I'm very sorry. I hope you can forgive me."
    Rise puts her arms around him.
    ,, I have already forgiven you, Night. I already have."
    ,, Can i try again? Can you allow me to be a good boyfriend? Can I try to be a good father?"
    Rise is crying. She knows that she wants him back. She always did. But she is scared that something bad can happen again.
    ,, I don't... I don't know, Night..."
    ,, Please, Rise. Give me one more chance. Please. Let me be the boyfriend you want me to be. I don't want to hurt you again. Please..."
    ,,Only one chance. One. If you blow this one I will not give you another one."
    ,, Thank you. Thank you so much, Rise. I promise I will do my best. I love you!"
