The day begins

Light comes in

But the light brings dark

Every shadow shows

Every mark

Every time they know

They shouldn't be watching

But all the time seems in reverse

We're going backwards

To the time that we were

To calm the nerves

I grab a bucket of emotions and stir

How do you let go of what's been done

When it gleams in your face like the bright of the sun

I'll run

But time of the day catches up

Every word that they say catches up

All the songs that she plays started catching up

The pattern in the signs are now matching up

As the sun sees all

Including shadows it casts

The shadows shiver away

But the memories stay

Caught up in the middle of day

The sun fades down

And the dark creeps up

There can't be much time now

The warm glow of a dusk

Cast onto a lonely face

In the middle of nowhere

Each second: a race

For the prey of the mind

They don't mind

Let you sit here all day

If you had the time

Say the things you could say

If you had the time

Write a song you could play

If you could make the damn words rhyme

But the Sunlight faded

There's no more time
