Will broken hearts find their way back to each other?

No one's POV:

Keira slams the phone down and paces up and down the room. Thoughts swirl through her head, one particular thought coming back no matter how hard she tries to push it away.

Lucy listens to the conversation the whole time, her heart pounding yet melting for Keira.

Lucy's POV:

I knock on the door gently. "Keira?"

"Come in" she softly replies.

I walk into the room, tears delicately falling down her face.

"What's going on Kei?" I ask with sympathy.

"I-it's Laura.." she doesn't look at me.

"Do you want me to stay or do you need space?"

"Can you..can you stay?" Her gaze finally meets mine.

I walk over to her and sit down next to her. She melts into the side of my body and I wrap my arms around her, gently rocking her back and forth.

"She invited another girl over Lucy.."

"She what?"

"I-it's all unclear. She let a random girl from the bar stay over at our house..why would she do that Lucy?? Why??" She stammers her words and tears fall down her face again.

I use my hand to turn her to face me. I hold her face gently with both hands, my thumbs wiping her tears away.

"Listen to me. I know it's hard to think about and to process but you are stronger than this. I know you Keira. You have to be brave for me and push past this because if this isn't meant to work out then it won't. But if it is meant to work it will...okay? Please try for me, give yourself some time then speak to her. Preferably in person because I don't believe on the phone is ideal. I can be within distance of you both if you don't feel safe. But we have to push past this for the moment." I smile softly and we stare into each other's eyes.

She looks at my lips and leans forwards slightly. I shake my head gently.

"Not yet.." I say. I place a small kiss on her forehead and pull her into my side again.

"We are going to work this out."

We break apart as the door slams open. Two bodies stumble through the door and I stand up immediately.

"Where the fuck have you two been?"

Leah and Georgia bow their heads in shame.

"You know what, just save it. I don't want to know anyways." I huff and turn back to Keira, holding her again. She doesn't utter a word.

Georgia and Leah smirk.

"What's going on here hm?" Leah wags her finger between Keira and I.

"Lay off Leah.." I say sternly.

"Anything you want to..share..with the group?" Georgia asks with a big grin on her face.

"Knock it off you two." Keira finally speaks up after not saying a word this whole time.

"Come on we were just-"
