Hiccup was still getting used to riding on Toothless after the whole "losing his leg" thing and decided he needed some practice. He just wanted to fly somewhere close enough to home.
Meanwhile, Anna was in her room trying to think of a way to get Elsa out of her room when she looked out the window to see something black go across the night sky. She looked closer and swore she saw wings and a tail. Then, the most peculiar thing happened: a sphere of light formed in the sky, almost like a shooting star. Anna was in awe and the next morning, she tried telling her parents about what she saw, but they didn't believe her. She tried telling Elsa too, but she got the same treatment she always got these days, so she gave up. Anna never told anything else about that night to anyone, even after Elsa and her became friends again. And Anna never saw the black streak or the ball of light again.
