It's crazy how fast a week went by. I worked. He went for a run, worked out, cooked, and worked on his laptop for as long as I was working.  We talked for hours as we were taking long walks at the beach.  We had BBQ, the boys tried new recipes and cooked while others made dessert. We spent so much time together. AJ and I moved in with the guys for a week, we played board games and watched videos, and the guys as they played video games.
I tried once or twice to play the game but, well, I realized very fast that I am not talented in these games. It's gonna be hard to let them go again.

To let him go again.

"Where are you now?" His soft voice interrupts my thoughts.  I shake the thoughts away and clear my throat before I answer.
"You can't see me, how do you know?"
"You didn't answer my question."
"What question?"
"Are you done with work for today?" He emphasizes every word.
"Yes, I am, sorry. I finished the project ten minutes ago. I'm waiting for AJ to finish the meeting and we'll be on our way."
"Calliope, did you check the time?" I look at my phone. I turn to the left and look out the window. It's dark.
"What? How long was I working? When did it turn 9 pm?" I ask, close the laptop, grab the plates and the glass, and walk to the kitchen.
"I talked to AJ, you're not coming over. I will be there in about twenty minutes." His voice is full of excitement and I smile at the imagination of how his soft lips curl up into a mischievous smirk.
"Twenty? Where are you coming from?" I ask while I wash the dishes.
"You're asking the wrong question, Calliope."  I bite my lip, his voice changes, and it turns deeper.
"What are your plans, Mr.Khan?" He clears his throat before he replies.
"To take you to the stars."

Oh, God.

He kept his word, and twenty minutes later a message pops up.
Koa
I'm waiting downstairs.
Callie
Coming!
I press send and grab my purse, a sweater, his sweater, and keys. Before I put the phone in my back pocket I read his response.

Koa
Oh, you will.

I shake my head and lock the door behind me. As I walk into the night a soft breeze hits my face and the smell of the ocean's saltiness makes me smile. I freeze in the moment, close my eyes, and take a long, deep breath. Once I open my eyes I flinch.
"God! Stop that, my heart!" He cups my face and pulls me into a soft kiss and I melt into him.
"Okay, I forgive you," I smile with my eyes closed, still lost in the kiss although he pulled away.
"Of course, you do," his hands slide down my arms as he takes my hand and links the fingers of his right hand with mine.
"Let's go!" He pulls me towards a dark blue pickup truck, with a covered trunk and his eyes sparkle in the moonlit night as he looks at me before I get in the car.
"Is this a new car?" He nods and closes the door as soon as I sit.

We drive for about 45 Minutes.
We talk about the things we did, the memories we made and he tells me about the upcoming tour and how excited the kids are to visit all these new places.
"How long will you be gone?" I ask and I could immediately slap myself for this question.
He looks at the rearview mirror and replies.
"Six months," he swallows and squeezes my thigh in comfort. I reach out and run my fingers through his hair and over his neck in response.
"Well, we're not going to the beach because you missed all the exits. Where are you taking me?" I ask and run my thumb over his cheek, he smiles and I poke into his dimple.
"I already told you, to the stars." He looks at me and raises a brow playfully.
"Does Wolfscreek have a space camp now or something I didn't know about?"
He shrugs and turns right into the middle of nowhere.
"Did you ever watch a horror movie?" I ask as I unbuckle the belt.
"Calliope, no one is going to drag you into the woods and kill you." He pats my shoulder and looks at me with a comforting gaze.
"Are you sure about that?" I ask and raise a brow slowly.
He rolls his eyes and gets out of the car. I grab the door but he stops me.
"Wait here, I will let you know when you can get out."
"Oh, I am definitely going to get killed. Right after you close that door, you're gonna get dragged into the woods and-"
Boom!
The door slams shut and I laugh, he's so full of my shit.
