...And it disappeared.

The creature's very existence almost evaporated into the mist which engulfed his entire frame. It just. Poof. Before his very eyes the creatures which was about to bring about his humiliating demise met it's own. He opened his other eye and cautiously glanced around, his Scarlett red orbs flickering around the scenery. His irregular breathing slowed, and his frame slowly unfurled so he was crouching above the terrain, his sword against the ground but his hand loosely around the grip.

Laughter.

Laughter abruptly broke the eerie silence and echoed around the forest, bouncing of the trees and taunting him as it enveloped his body. What the fuck had actually just happened? He quickly glanced around the place, dumbfounded and somewhat scared. He was trying to think of a logical explanation, Before the appearance of something shattered his thoughts.

The mist retreated to reveal a boy leaning against a tree. He had hair the hue of a Ravens feather, and it appeared silky even though it was arranged in a messy way. Black rimmed glasses sat comfortably on his face, and he had a pure white coloured top with short, pale brown shorts and white shoes. The most unusual and captivating thing about him was his eyes.

They seemed to be a deep blue around the iris, but around the rim it was an Icey colour, and it leaked into the darker shade. They glowed in the darkness and were a dead giveaway to any demon hunter.
The lad had bursted out in laughter, and was gripping onto the tree for support. "Oh man!" He managed to say through uncontrollable laughter, his eyes watering slightly as he wiped them with a hand. "You were so scared!" He grinned, his gaze now locked on the pissed hunter. Dave was unamused by this, and was staring coldly at him, his lips pursed into a thin line to express his annoyance, since his eyes were concealed by his shades.
"Oh, don't be like that!" John grinned as he leaned against a tree. "It's a normal reaction" he chuckled, his glowing gaze now on him. Dave didn't respond but merely stood upright, straightening his posture. This must've been the demon causing the chaos around this area. But he was still confused on what had happened. Was the familiar he had seen an illusion? Maybe the demon had summoned it to attack him, but had killed it last second? But why would he let a hunter live? And wouldn't the have been blood? He stood in thought, but was quickly snapped out of it as the demon appeared in front of him, snapping his fingers in front of his face. "Helooooo?" He questioned, arching a brow.

Dave instinctively lashed his katana at him, aiming to lodge it comfortably into his stomach. The demon leapt back and skidded against the floor, a wolffish grin now parting his lips. "We're awake now then, yes?" He questioned, tilting his head with a raised eyebrow. Dave merely growled and stalked towards him, his grip tightening on his weapon. This demon was obviously a troublemaker, and would prove quite a problem if he wasn't destroyed here and now. His pace quickened, and the creature's grin faded, his eyebrow merely raised at his advances.

Dave, in a flash, stepped beside the demon and slipped his sword into his stomach. Johns eyes widened slightly, his blue eyes flickering towards Dave. Since he was at an angle, he caught a glimpse of his brilliantly shaded eyes, and stared. They were a bright, piercing red, and hostility was clear in them. It was almost intimidating. Humans never carried such amazingly hued eyes. Demons naturally had unusually bright eyes, pointy ears and fangs, but humans never carried these traits. They had to be contacts, since there was no other explanation. They couldn't naturally be such a bright blood red. And his had he approached so fast? Some demons could have the power to flash step , but once again he just assumed that he hadn't been paying attention and he had just quickly ran. Humans couldn't flash step. There was no way he was a demon. Once humans were turned, which was rare and unusual, since demons only ever saw humans as sustenance, they turned like a demon in both nature and appearance. A demon wouldn't protect humans. That was unheard of.

Dave slid his sword out of his stomach, causing John to stumble back. Since he was a demon, normal weapons wouldn't harm him fatally, but that didn't mean it wouldn't hurt. The creature chuckled hoarsely and glanced at him with an icy glare. "That was a rude introduction, Dave."

Dave became startled slightly and glanced at him with a what-the-fuck expression. How did he know his name? He sure as hell hadn't told him. "How do you know my name, hell's spawn?" He snapped, his voice laced with a faint Texan accent. The blue-eyed boy merely chuckled and glanced at him. "Everyone knows of the Strilalondes, Dave. You lot are known to eradicate a lot of innocent Demons" he responded, his eyes narrowed. "How does it feel to kill hundred of innocent beings? You humans are the heartless ones when it comes down to it" He muttered.

Dave released a scoff and rolled his eyes. "We don't feed off demons and ruin families."
"Oh but you do ruin families, my friend" He retorted.
"Families of murderers" he snorted.
"Not all demons eat souls! It's not our fault we want to survive!"
"Yeah well guess what bud, we want to survive too."
"It seems we have a dilemma." John muttered, his eyes narrowed.
Dave readied his sword for a second time, the tip swinging to face him.
It looked like the two were not going to reach a satisfying conclusion for both parties.
He took in a sharp inhale and prepared to pounce.
"Indeed we do."
