"What? No way!" Jennie dropped to her knees in the sterile hospital hallway, her cry bouncing off the cold, white walls as her sadness filled the air.

Jungkook stood next to her, gripping his hair tightly, looking helpless, his handsome features twisted in shock and despair.

Jungkook's mom, Mrs. Jeon, covered her mouth with shaky fingers, her eyes wide and glistening with tears, frozen in a nightmare she couldn't grasp, like reality had just crumbled around her.

"You're lying! You're lying! Taehyung isn't leaving me... he's just asleep, right? I need to see him! Take me to him!" Jennie begged, desperation clawing at her throat, each word a fight, her voice cracking under the weight of her heartache.

The doctor, a middle-aged guy with kind but tired eyes, looked at her with deep sympathy, his gaze heavy with unspoken sorrow and the weight of delivering awful news.

"For now, you can't go inside, but you can see him from the outside. Again, I'm really sorry for your loss," the doctor said, and he walked away, leaving behind a suffocating emptiness.

Jennie slowly got up, her legs shaky under her, but it felt like her soul had been ripped from her body, leaving a huge void where hope used to be.

Numbness wrapped around her like a heavy fog, dulling her senses and putting her in a bizarre state between reality and despair.

Jungkook, feeling the weight of the moment, was consumed by intense guilt, his heart feeling like a heavy stone lodged painfully in his chest.

Mrs. Jeon, who once radiated strength and energy, now looked completely shattered, her spirit broken beyond repair, as if the light had dimmed inside her.

Her eyes showed a deep loss, begging for answers that would never come.

Taehyung is..... gone?

Jungkook held Jennie tightly, feeling her body shake against him, each tremor a heartbreaking reminder of the unbearable reality that had just unfolded.

He wished he could protect her from this pain, rewind time, and change the fate they had been given, but all he could do was stand there, offering what little comfort he could in the middle of such overwhelming sadness.

"What's going on here?" a deep voice boomed. The three of them froze. Jennie quickly pulled away from Jungkook, wondering if she was dreaming or if this was real.

"Taehyung?" Jungkook whispered, tears streaming down his face.

"Taehyung, baby!" Mrs. Jeon ran to Taehyung, wrapping her arms around him. He looked confused, but she broke down in tears.

"Jungkook?" Jennie called softly, her voice shaky.

"Yes?"

"You can see what I'm seeing, right? I'm not dreaming, right?" Tears continued to pour from her eyes.

Jungkook wiped his tears, nodding with a happy smile. "Yes, Jennie, he's here; it's real."

Jennie burst into even more tears, catching Taehyung's attention. He let go of Mrs. Jeon and walked over to Jennie.

He had a bandage on his head, but otherwise, he looked fine. "Jen-"

Jennie threw her arms around him, silencing him. She cried loudly in his arms, breathing in the scent she missed so much. "Jennie, I'm sorry-"

"Shut up!"

"I'm sorry-"

"I said shut up! Do you know how I felt a minute ago? I thought you were gone, Taehyung. I thought I lost you. Do you think I care about the past now? Taehyung, I was about to lose you forever. You have no idea how much I love you I love you so much. Don't ever leave me, never!" she sobbed.
