I sighed deeply and leaned my head against the flat, cold surface of my scythe.
"Look at them, Scar," I mumbled to the white bundle of feathers resting on my shoulder.
Scar, my albino crow, only poked her head up from her mess of wing feathers and sleepy looked towards where I was sighing at.
"They all get to see their families one last time...before I take them." I shook my head and stood up when the family members of my prey slowly exited the house.
They tried not to look up at me in fear, although some eyes flickered in my direction and quickly glinted away.
'"They see me...yet say nothing..." I rolled my eyes and casually jumped down from the low roof.
Without even knocking, I used my foot to knock down the wooden door.
'He tried to lock it?!' I frowned at the many latches that laid on the floor.
"I knew it wouldn't stop you, Adrian-"
"Do not speak of that name to me!" I roared, placing the blade edge at his throat.
"Hurry up and kill me, son...I've been on this earth for too long..." The old fool begged, giving me a pained look with his du grey eyes.
"No." I said, smiling devilishly.
"No, you continue to live, you don't deserve salvation." I laughed quietly, knowing that I was going against every protocol I was told to follow.
"What- I've seen all my family members die before me!"
"And even then, death is too good for you...you're to live forever, and ever, until the end of time."
"You can't do that!"
"Oh yeah? Watch me..." I smiled from the shadow of my hood and stalked off, whistling an oddly happy tune as I did so.
"Come back and kill me!"
"No. This is your hell...and its just the beginning."
