Like anything worthwhile, this must end. While working with @bcb_tigers_official, I have had a terrific experience with some amazing people. Along the process, we have made history, broken numerous records, and generated incredible memories. It is time to enjoy some time at home and look forward to the next phase. For an exciting new year, I wish everyone at Bangladesh Cricket the best. "You will be missed," Pothas wrote.

Throughout his more than ten-year coachingcareer, Pothas has held the positions of head coach for Sri Lanka (2017-2018)and the West Indies (2018-2019). For these teams, he has also served as anassistant coach, fielding coach, and lead fielding coach. He was thewicketkeeping coach for Hampshire County Cricket Club prior to enteringBangladesh. Pothas, a right-handed batsman, scored more than 16,000 runs infirst-class and List A cricket throughout his playing career. He also played inthree ODIs for South Africa.
