I awoke to the sound of an angel "God, you are so annoying. You're going to make us all late," so maybe calling her an angel was an over exaggeration. She continued, "Breakfast is served in the canteen. If you don't get ready soon, there will be a bunch of angry teens on you so get out of there now. Plus some little kid dropped off some clothes for you,".
As soon as I got up, my eyes went to the pile of clothing left on the left side of my bed. There lay a simple white button-up shirt. My eyes darted over to the rolled up cuffs. I believed the rolled up cuffs looked smart; the tie and blazar laying beside it would probably rap the whole look together. I put the entire outfit on, carefully placing the tie directly in the middle to hide the mustard stain. Voices from outside indicated people were leaving so I rushed over and picked up the first pair of shoes I could find, to my suiting it was my favourite pair of black combat boots.
I was too lazy to go all out with my hair so after backcombing the front, I put my hair up in a ponytail and curled the few hairs that I left in the front. "You're still getting ready? I've run around the whole building and you still haven't left. Take the bloody mascara and eyeliner and go put it on in the bus! Getting breakfast in your system should be your priority. No one want's to be late because of you nimrod!" Every time she would scream at me for taking my time, it made me want to stall as long as I possibly could. I mean in my defence it is pretty annoying when someone screams in your ear every five seconds.
"Yeah sure, I'll be done in a minute and then I'll be down. It would be easier if you weren't yelling constantly. I'd have done it by now if you hadn't barged in and disturbed my peace,"
It only took five minutes to apply the usual. The second I finished, I slipped on my black backpack onto one shoulder and flung myself out of the door like a madman in a box. There were still many individuals who were still hanging around their bedrooms so I figured I wasn't too late. My roommate clearly rushed me for nothing! Even so, I rushed outside. Only to see people boarding a bus and I literally mean a bus. My previous homes all had a mini caravan style minibus, this place got weirder by the minute.
"Riverside East High, I repeat anybody left from Riverside East High or Beacon Stride?"
"That's you, y'know! You're at Riverside but typical of you not to know that. You were always daydreaming, never paying attention" Scott, it seems yesterday when we were little kids. I despised the fact he's here, helping. Out of everywhere, he's here.
"What do you want? As much as I would love to sit here and have a chat with you all day, I'd much rather attend School which is where I need to be so bye,"
"Damn I love your attitude. It works for you, kinda cute. I figured you'd be here last minute and unprepared for the day ahead so I waited for you,"He paused, I think he realised how wrong that sounded "Not in a creepy way, I just thought I'd give you a little breakfast to take with you. I got you a granola bar, a prawn cocktail crisp packet, twirl and coke-a-cola. Not the healthiest choice but I couldn't exactly give you cereal and a bowl to take with you,"
No matter how much I tried to let my hatred get the best of me, I thanked him and took the food. I was hungry, in fact, I was starving and extremely tired. Therefore logically I was too exhausted to argue back! I walked off, heading to the bus. It wasn't until I reached the bus did I notice he was still calling my name.
"I almost forgot, I know you're new and being new sucks so I just wanna help out! I got you this, it's got your new timetable, teachers names' and a map. Although it's might be confusing at first so I'd ask someone for help once you're there. I gotta go, I've got School too,"
Once again, I thanked him "Thanks, that's very sweet of you. See you later, yeah?" He nodded and stalked off. The Scott I knew was pretty much dead, either that or this guy was still a pretty good actor. If I'm honest I'm convinced that he is just a pathological liar, that's what happens when you have a childhood rivalry with me.
