It's September 2nd the first day of school. It's your senior year, and you've had straight A's since elementary school. "This year should be a breeze", you think to yourself. You really don't like people so you try to go unnoticed as you walk past Kaley Grey, your arch enemy since 5th grade, even though you know it's impossible. As you suspected she stops you. She says, "Wow I really like your shoes, y/n!" Then she laughs and pushes you to the ground. You stand up and say that she's nothing but a stupid bitch. The Vice Principal over hears your comment and says, " (y/n), you're one of the best students in this school. It really hurts me to do this, but you have detention". You try to tell him that she pushed you, but it was no use. You go through all of your classes pissed because she ruined your perfect record. After school you head to the detention room. Your favorite teacher Mrs.Gallaway is in there and asks what you're doing in the detention room. You briefly explain to her what Kaley had done to you earlier, and she nods and asks you to sit down. The bell for detention is about to ring, as a smoking hot boy busts through the door. Mrs.Gallaway looks at him and says, "Mr.Gilinsky you were told that if you were late to one more detention you'd be suspended". Jack smirks and says, "well I got here one minute before the bell rung, so it looks like it's my lucky day". Mrs.Gallaway told him to take a seat and he did. As Jack walked past you you got a strong scent of his cologne, and you wanted to melt. You had always thought Jack was cute, but he probably sees you as a nerd , so why even both? He's a bad boy and captain of the football, he would never date someone like you. About 10 minutes in to detention you get this feeling that someone is staring at you. You turn around and see that Jack is looking directly at you. You smile and he winks. You blushed the whole rest of the hour. Maybe detention isn't that bad after all.
