Kai couldn't believe what he was seeing.
No, he really couldn't. At first, he had chalked it down to the fact he was suffering from severe blood loss and the fact he was in so much pain that it made sense that he would begin to imagine things.
What he was watching ended up being reality though.
Petunia really had summoned a demon from the deepest pits of hell, a demon that did characteristically seem like her mother considering she kept calling it Mommy and it had tenderly pat her head.
But that wasn't even the most absurd part of the whole thing, no, the most crazy part was the level of the demon she had summoned.
Demon of Wrath
Level 122
Kai genuinely could not believe what he was seeing. Petunia, the small child he had been trying to protect this entire time, turned out to be way, way stronger than him.
Well, she wasn't, her summon was, but they were one and the same.
The demon she had summoned was exactly 100 levels higher than her. Kai wasn't sure if that was a coincidence or not, but it was still absurd considering that his Innate Ability only worked for up to 10 levels above him and Contract of Artemis had a limit of 15 levels.
So for Petunia to be able to summon something 100 levels higher than her...
Just what the hell was going on?!
Holding back from coughing up another mouthful of blood, Kai bit his lip and watched as the fight unfolded.
Petunia's mother's fist collided with the Yeti's face, making it contort around the blow as saliva was sent flying in the air. One of the beast's teeth came loose with the blow, but did not come out entirely.
Blinking in shock, the Yeti roared as they sent their own punch at the blood-red demon, which she masterfully adjusted her head to just barely dodge it before launching another punch at the gargantuan beast's gut.
Petunia's mother moved with the refined finesse of a trained boxer, while the Yeti moved like a wild animal, which it was. The Yeti possessed much more Strength, while the Demon of Wrath had much more technique in each of their attacks.
It was a perfect showdown. Strength versus technique.
Petunia's mother landed yet another blow on the Yeti's large chest, creating tiny crater on the dense flesh. Her fist was much more powerful than any attack Kai would be able to conjure up, with Equilibrium maybe being the only exception if he were to charge it to its full power.
But the Yeti was even stronger, and also had abilities that didn't rely on just strength alone.
Reeling back from the blow, the Yeti howled and lifted its arm, bits of ice swirling around it, forming something.
It was creating another spear of ice, only it finished forming this one in a few seconds. It was much weaker than the previous ones it created, so Kai didn't know what it was planning.
Seemingly realising what the Yeti was about to do, Petunia's mother ducked and lunged forward, aiming to close the distance and not give the Yeti any space to throw the spear.
But when she done so, the Yeti... grinned?
Its arm quickly rotated, changing actions from a throwing one to more of a stabbing one. The beast's arm descended like a guillotine, the tip of the spear aimed directly at the ground.
Right where the Demon of Wrath had just placed its foot.
Petunia's Mother shrieked madly as the spear of ice impaled her foot, allowing the Yeti to start wailing on her.
