My eyes were glued to the screen.
A red Gyarados? How amazingly strange.
I sigh, bored now that the show has ended. As I have found nothing to do, I walk downstairs to be greeted by my mother.
"Hi Mikey! Ashton was looking for you earlier. Something about a lake and some Pokémon, stay out of the tall grass though, you could if you had a Pokémon but you don't." She grins, waves me out and closes the door behind me.
I head to Ashton's house, but as soon as I try to enter, he tries to exit.
"MICHAEL! Hello!" He's grinning a lot.
"He-"
"I'm heading to Lake Verity now! You should come with me! I'll be waiting at the road, it'll be a million dollar fine if you're late." He babbles, running off to the road. He is soon, running back.
"I almost forgot!" He exclaims running into the house. I follow, saying hello to his mother and heading up the stairs.
"I'll need my journal, and- Michael! Alright, let's go! It's a 10 million dollar fine now!" He shouts running out of the house.
I follow him out to Route 201, where I instantly see tall grass.
When I finally get there, he tells me to lead the way and I remember all those years of when my parents brought me out here.
I lead him to the lake and there are two people here. One really old dude, and one really pretty boy. They're both looking out to the lake.
"Michael? Did you see that report on tv?! What if there is a Gy- who are they?" Ashton mumbles, looking out to the two people.
"Professor? Are you happy to be back in Sinnoh?" I can hear the small boys words. They're really soft, I note.
"Of course, Lucas! I love Sinnoh, all the rare Pokémon. It's always an adventure." The professor grins at Lucas, gaining a small smile in return.
"Well, we shall get going!" The professor exclaims, approaching us, "Excuse us, boys." He says, walking between us and down the path.
"S-sorry." Lucas says, blushing as he glances up at me.
He quickly leaves and I hear Ashton fidget.
"What's that?"
