"What are you throwing away?" Vic asks.
"Nothing just an old magazine." I lie.
When I'm done disposing of the magazine I take my seat on the couch right next to Vic. He was on his phone.
"What are you doing?" I ask casually.
"Texting Jaime." He says dully. I shifted uncomfortably and looked away from him. I couldn't help but get jealous, I mean why does he always text him? He's his ex and I just didn't like how much they talked. Okay maybe I was being a bit of a hypocrite seeing as I cheat on him at least once a week but I didn't want to know that there is a chance him and Vic might get back together after we break up."Oh come on don't be jealous. I only text back because I'm nice. You know I love you." He said and rests his hand on my thigh.
"I'm not jealous." I lie.
"Good because honestly he was never my type." He said and sits on. His face only inches from mine.
"I prefer lean boys who I can pick up when his legs wrap around me" He said leaning in so our noses brushed against each other. "And who have long black raven hair I can tug on" he said connecting our lips but pulling away much too soon. "And who wears my favorite band tshirts that I can tear off." He said kissing me again.
"Just fuck me already Vic." I say only half joking.
He smiled against my lips. "Don't tempt me."
"You're lucky I love you." I mumble.
"I know." He responds and pulls away from me.
Vic's POV
It had been a few days since I spent the night at Kellin's. He was so amazing and awkward and perfect and I loved everything about him. The fact he felt the same way only made me feel a thousand times better.
I think I might want to fight with him more often if the make up sex is always going to be that great. God, he was perfect.
"Hey Vic!" Hurry up I'm gonna be late for school." Mike yelled.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." I yell back. I grab my backpack and head out the door.
"Dad did you really have to have another child. Wasn't I enough?" I dramatically ask my father who was lying down on the couch sleepily.
He just chuckled. "Oh yeah Vic that reminds me, I think you need to start looking for another job in the nights." My dad says. What?
"Dad I can't get another job. I work half the day in the mornings but the afternoon is my time ya know? So I can actually enjoy life like a normal 22 year old." I say.
"Oh come on mijo all you do is make those worthless tracks and hang out with that boyfriend of yours, we don't need that." He said, flipping the page of a newspaper. Wait was that Kellin on it? Probably not I'm just imagining things.
"But dad I-"
"No, just start looking for one and that's final." He said dismissively.
"Uhm...Vic.. School please?" Mike asks carefully. I wanted to snap at both of them but I knew their intentions were good so I used every fiber of my being to restraint myself.
"Yeah, right, let's go Mike." I say and walk into the car hearing Mike say 'finally'.
I quickly dropped Mike off and drove off to work. I was still so pissed off that I actually had to find another job. Yes I get it Mike works part time and my dad isn't fit to work and we needed money but couldn't they just let me breath? Let me live a little like most people my age would. I needed those hours of relaxing. I was so envious of Mike, my dad was willing to let him pursue his dreams of being a tattoo artist but wouldn't even give me the opportunity to make some music.
I eventually pulled over to the employees parking lot and I got out my backpack, heading to the greenhouse like I did every morning.
"Hey." I hear Kellin say from behind. I look back and let out a weak smile.
"Hey." I say back."I have good news, you wanna hear it?" He asks.
"Sure," I mumble."That didn't sound convincing at all. What's wrong?" He asked and patted the spot on a bench he was sitting on.
"It's nothing, I should get to work." I say.
Kellin comes to my side.
"When has bottling things up ever made anyone feel better?" Kellin asked causing me to sigh in defeat and turn around."Ugh I hate you for being right." I mumble.
"No you don't. you love me now come on. tell me what's wrong." He said. I took the seat next to him."It's just my dad. He wants me to get another job at the night and stuff. He doesn't get it though, I'm twenty-two, I'm young and I should be enjoying life not supporting my family. Don't get me wrong I love my family and I know that my mom is sick and Mike has school and work and my dad is in no place to work but still gets local jobs but I'm working my hardest too and I just wish they'd give me some time to breath ya know." I said looking over to him. He put his arm around me.
"That's pretty sucky Vic and I'm sorry, and believe me I want to make it easier on you and I think I might have something that could." He said and reached. In his pocket to pull put something.
It's a check.
"Kellin you know I can't except that from you." I say.
"Well it's not from me. I showed one of your tracks to my friend Tay who's dad is a producer and he wants to buy some of your work so he could use them for a few new artists he has.." Kellin says excitedly
"Are you serious?" I ask in disbelief.
"I wouldn't lie about this. I hope you aren't mad that I showed off your songs or anything I just wanted to let people see how great you are you know?" He mumbled. Oh my god I loved him so much.
"I love you, I love you, I love you!" I exclaimed and planted kisses all over his face, causing him to giggle.
"I love you too Vic, that's why i did it." He said with a proud smile.
"Geez you're too perfect for your good."
"Thank you, but honestly you did it all by yourself. I just got you noticed." He said and I broke into a smile.
"Now get to work!" Kells said playfully.
"Okay sir." I say beyond happy. How did I get so lucky? I just wanted to stay with him forever and I hoped i could.
