A fresh new start on one of my first ever fanfics.
I'm very excited and I hope you guys enjoy my new ideas for this book.
Prologue
"Vampires! Vampires in the village!" I woke up the the screaming and rushed to wake my mum and dad.
"Mummy!" I whispered, shaking her. She had her back to me and I nearly cried out when she felt cold, my grunt was quiet when I tugged myself up on their bed.
"Dad! Mum!" I cried out, shaking them and only found that they were dead. I held on to my mum and his between them, getting under the sheet and praying that I'd be safe.
Screaming and crying could be heard through the village. People screaming about fires, vampires or crying that their child had disappeared. Soon the cries stopped and I felt almost like I'd be safe. Little did I know I was wrong, the sheet was torn from the bed and i almost screamed when my ankle was tugged on. she was a pretty woman and her eyes were a scary blood colour. Dark hair framed her face and she smiled softly at me.
"What's your name boy?"
"L-Louis" I stuttered, struggling to stand when she was looking down at me.
"Louis, how would you like to come with me?" She smiled softly. I frowned and looked back at my mum and dad.
"Don't worry darling, they're in a better place now" she whispered in my ear. I shivered at her cold touch, she held me close and walked with me. I saw the ruins that my village was left in and saw the fires that had yet to be stopped. She took me to a place I was scared of and I gripped onto her hand harder, wording that someone would take me away.
"This will be your new home" she mumbled as we walked into a beautiful place. She walked me into a room and I wiped at my eyes when she sat me on the comfy bed.
"Rest now little one, your new life begins tomorrow" I smiled at her when she kissed my forehead. She was nice and it made me happy to think about living with her.
It wasn't till I turned twenty one that I learned my life would change forever because she couldn't let me go.
