IT WAS MIDNIGHT, and you couldn't sleep. The war was over, the chaos was gone, and yet, a strange unease lingered in your heart. The dorms were quiet—everyone else seemed to have found peace in their sleep, but not you.

The unknown stretched out before you like the endless sky, vast and intimidating. You stood on the rooftop, leaning against the cold metal railing, your head resting on your arms as the moon cast its silver glow across the landscape.

Your thoughts were tangled—memories of the past, fears of the future, and questions you couldn't answer. It wasn't fear exactly, but something quieter, something deeper. The weight of it pressed down on you until—

"I figured you'd be here."

The familiar voice pulled you from your thoughts. You turned your head and saw Shoto Todoroki standing beside you, his two-toned hair catching the breeze, his mismatched eyes reflecting the pale moonlight. He leaned against the railing, his presence calm and steady, grounding you in a way you couldn't explain.

"Hey, Shoto," you greeted softly, a small smile playing on your lips. There was something about him that always managed to ease the heaviness in your chest.

He nodded, his gaze lingering on you for a moment longer than necessary. "You couldn't sleep?"

You shook your head, your eyes drifting back to the moon. "Yeah, I just... I have a lot on my mind. Feeling restless, I guess."

Todoroki shifted slightly closer, his elbow brushing against yours. He didn't say anything for a moment, simply stood there beside you, his presence quiet but comforting. "I could offer some comfort," he said finally, his voice soft and sincere.

You laughed lightly, shaking your head. "It's okay. It's just something minor." But as you spoke, your gaze drifted to his, and your words faltered. His eyes—so deep, so full of emotion—were locked onto yours. His expression was soft, yet so intense that it made your breath catch.

Your mind raced, the memory of his confession flashing through your thoughts. Your heart quickened, and you quickly looked away, back to the moon. "Did you know," you began, your voice quieter now, "that my family has a history of bad births? My biological grandmother died giving birth to All For One and his brother. And... my mom died giving birth to me because I accidentally drowned her with my quirk." You swallowed, the words spilling out faster than you intended. "I'm scared, Shoto. Scared that if I ever—" You stopped, the weight of your fears too heavy to finish the sentence.
