This discontent had reached a boiling point, creating the perfect storm for someone like Lyanna to emerge and take control.

Robin Arryn's rule was characterized by his inability to inspire loyalty among the noble houses. His childish demands, combined with his complete lack of leadership skills, had alienated even his closest advisors. In the days leading up to Lyanna's arrival, tensions within the Vale had escalated.
