Author: I'm very sorry if this chapter seems quite rushed. I wrote it the way it is 'cause I realized it would be way too long if I didn't and would need more chapters than intended.

Two days after Lyanna Targaryen's sudden appearance in the Vale, the tides of power began to shift dramatically. Robin Arryn, the boy lord of the Vale, had long been regarded as an ineffective ruler. His spoiled nature, lack of maturity, and inability to make decisive choices had left the Vale in a state of quiet discontent. For years, the real power behind the throne rested with figures like Lord Yohn Royce and other influential lords of the Vale, who had grown tired of propping up Robin's fragile rule. This discontent had reached a boiling point, creating the perfect storm for someone like Lyanna to emerge and take control.

Robin Arryn's rule was characterized by his inability to inspire loyalty among the noble houses. His childish demands, combined with his complete lack of leadership skills, had alienated even his closest advisors. In the days leading up to Lyanna's arrival, tensions within the Vale had escalated. Rumors of internal betrayal began circulating, with some suggesting that certain lords were plotting to depose Robin entirely. These whispers were not unfounded—small factions within the Vale's nobility had grown restless, believing their lands and people deserved stronger leadership.

The final straw came when Robin was betrayed by one of his own supporters. A trusted advisor, eager to see a stronger ruler in power, had sabotaged Robin's credibility by exposing his incompetence to the other lords during a council meeting. This act of treachery caused a significant rift among the noble houses, further weakening Robin's already tenuous grip on power.

Lyanna's entrance into the Vale was nothing short of theatrical. She arrived at the Eyrie riding Drogon, her massive black dragon, whose shadow cast fear and awe over the mountain stronghold. The sight of the dragon alone was enough to shake the resolve of many within the Vale. Tales of her magic and her connection to the legendary Daenerys Targaryen spread like wildfire, and even the most skeptical lords began to wonder if she was a force they could afford to oppose.

Despite having no standing army, Lyanna relied on her magic and Drogon's overwhelming presence to assert her dominance. Her approach was calculated—she sought to minimize bloodshed, knowing that unnecessary violence would alienate potential allies. Instead, she used a combination of diplomacy, fear, and carefully executed displays of power to turn the Vale's lords to her side.

Lyanna's first move was to target the smaller houses that had grown tired of Robin's rule. She personally met with several of these lords, offering them protection, wealth, and power in exchange for their allegiance. Her charisma and commanding presence made it nearly impossible for them to refuse. Additionally, Lyanna's magic played a significant role in these negotiations. Simple but effective demonstrations of her power—such as summoning harmless flames or controlling the wind to emphasize her words—convinced the lords that she was not to be underestimated.

Word of her actions quickly spread, and more houses began to pledge their loyalty to her cause. The few who resisted were met with swift but measured retaliation. Drogon's fire was unleashed only on the strongholds of those who openly defied her, and even then, Lyanna ensured that the destruction was minimal. Her goal was to show that resistance was futile, not to annihilate the people she hoped to rule.

When Lyanna finally turned her attention to the Eyrie itself, Robin Arryn was left with few allies. The once-mighty castle, perched high above the Vale, was poorly defended due to the disloyalty and disorganization within Robin's forces. Many of his soldiers had deserted, unwilling to fight against a Targaryen with a dragon. Those who remained put up a token resistance but quickly surrendered when Drogon appeared, his roar echoing through the mountains.
