He gasped, tears running down his cheeks as he crouched. He sifted a hand through the ash and rubble, confused as to what had become of his once normal life.

Is this what it had become?

The sky was a stormy, depressed grey.

What has he done?

*************************

Jake sat on the worn leather couch. He stared at the dusty screen of the old tube TV in his mums flat. He was thinking. He wasn't sure what but he felt something different, something odd inside. Ever since mum and dad split up everything had changed. His mum came in and sat beside him, they made no eye contact. Jake carried on staring at the screen, his mum stared at him. Besides he didn't even want to talk to her, it was all her fault that she, Jake and dad weren't a happy family like they used to be, Jake stood up and left for school. To make matters worse he was being bullied at school and the thought of another day of torment filled him with dread.

Jake walked slowly shivering at the thought of what was to come. He could hear the demons inside of his head telling him to get revenge, to kill and to hate but he never listened. Dad had always told him that it was a bad sin to get revenge on people. The shattered glass lay around the rocks underneath Jake's feet. As Jake headed towards the dark, dusty old alley he didn't notice the shadow lurking around a pole until he was a step closer towards the figure. The figure was about 5 ft 12, his dark eyes looking right through your soul, his creepy smile stretched on his sharp cheekbones. Jake stopped and stared into the dark eyes of the figure. He could hear the voices in his head shouting revenge, he couldn't help but listen. The figure laughed.

Jake's lips started trembling and his words came out in a stutter

"w-who are yo-you?" Jake quivered.

The man stared solemnly into Jake's eyes.

Jake heard and felt the demons inside of his head chanting "Jeff, Jeff, Jeff"

Jake didn't know what 'Jeff' meant until he realized it was the figures name. 'Jeff' grinned before he turned and walked away. Jake felt a sudden urge to follow. He could hear the voices in his mind chanting the words 'kill, kill, kill '. Jeff started laughing. Jake started laughing as well.

They walked towards the old brick factory, It had broken windows and crusty brick walls, mould grew under the broken drainpipes. Jake didn't know what it was but the longer he stayed with the Jeff the more he felt as if he had an urge to kill, hurt and get revenge on everyone around him. He knew that the old Jake was slowly disappearing.

As the door opened for Jeff they both walked in and found themselves surrounded by corpses. The smell made him gag. Jeff looked at Jake his husky voice muttered

"Don't mess this up" Jeff pointed at the wall and written in blood was 'destroy everything and get revenge'.

Jake's eyes were glued to the wall and he felt obliged to obey. He ran out the broken door and killed the first person he saw which happened to be a young boy. It was a matter of seconds before he realized who it was. Jimmy Walker, the bully from school! most of Jake was thrilled by what he had done but the other half, the true half new that this was wrong. He looked around ; people were staring, screaming. He new that this wasn't right. that thought was soon replaced with a sudden wrath of anger. The next few days were in a blur and before he knew it towns were in flames, and people where crying. Jake couldn't forget the horrified looks on the faces of the victims. He found himself at the top of a destroyed building. His messy brown hair blew in the wind as he looked around dazed and confused.

He gasped, tears running down his cheeks as he crouched. He sifted a hand through the ash and rubble, confused as to what had become of his once normal life.
