The new fast bowling coach for Cricket Australia is Adam Griffith. The former first-class cricket player from Tasmania will be assigned to the men's teams of the nation and given the responsibility of "development and preparation of fast bowlers," according to a board release.
Griffith, who is now Victoria's assistant coach, takes on the responsibility of Cricket Australia. He will now be based out of CA's National Cricket Centre in Brisbane and will be responsible for a variety of tasks, such as managing the training of national pace bowlers, leading a national strategy to develop pace bowlers, coaching the Australian men's and Australia A men's teams, and helping to develop pace bowling coaches.
"I am thrilled that Adam will join Cricket Australia as National Pace Bowling Coach and contribute significantly to our coaching staff by bringing his wealth of expertise. The head coach of Australia's senior men's squad, Andrew McDonald, stated that Adam's experience in all formats will be very helpful in training pace bowlers for the country's national men's sides.
Griffith has a great deal of high coaching experience. He was the head coach of the Tasmania Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes, the director of coaching for Tasmania, and the senior assistant coach of Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. He was Royal Challengers Bengaluru's assistant coach (bowling) till the most recent IPL 2024 season.Griffith previously accompanied the Australianmen's teams on bilateral tours in 2012 and 2016, as well as at the 2019 ICCWorld Cup in England.
