That evening, Jimin sat on his bed, holding his phone in his hands, the grandma’s number displayed on the screen. He had been staring at it for the past ten minutes, debating whether he should call now or wait until tomorrow.

What if she changed her mind?
What if she was just being nice and doesn’t actually expect me to call?

Jimin shook his head, trying to push away his doubts. No, she wouldn’t have given me her number if she didn’t mean it.

Taking a deep breath, he pressed the call button.

After a few rings, the familiar warm voice answered, "Hello?"

"Umm... Grandma, it’s me, Jimin."

"Ah, Jimin, son! I was wondering when you’d call," she said cheerfully. "Have you thought about my offer?"

"Yes," Jimin said, gripping his phone tighter. "I... I’d like to accept it. If you’re still okay with it."

"Of course, I am, dear!" she said happily. "You don’t know how relieved I am. It’ll be nice to have someone around to help me. When can you move in?"

Jimin blinked. "Oh… I haven’t packed yet. Maybe in two days?"

"That’s fine, son. Take your time. Just let me know when you’re ready, and I’ll send someone to help you move your things."

Jimin felt a little overwhelmed by how easy she was making things for him. "No, Grandma, it’s okay. I don’t have much stuff. I can manage on my own."

She chuckled. "Alright, alright. But if you need help, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll be waiting, Jimin. Take care, son."

Jimin smiled softly. "Thank you, Grandma. I’ll see you soon."

After hanging up, he let out a deep breath. It was happening. He was really going to move.

Despite living in a university dorm conveniently located near campus, he couldn't shake off the feeling of loneliness. Moreover, the dorm's rules restricted his freedom, prohibiting him from leaving the premises late at night, which made it impossible for him to hold a part-time job. Seeking a solution, he decided to move into the cottage, which offered the added benefit of being rent-free."

The next two days went by in a blur. Jimin packed up his small belongings, most of which fit into just two suitcases. When Taehyung came over to help, he dramatically collapsed on the bed after carrying just one bag.

"I can’t believe you’re actually moving in with a rich old lady," Taehyung groaned. "This feels like a drama plot. Are you sure she doesn’t have an equally rich and handsome grandson who’ll fall in love with you?"

Jimin threw a pillow at him. "Shut up, Tae. It’s nothing like that."

Taehyung laughed, sitting up. "Jokes aside, I’m really happy for you, Jimin. This is a good opportunity. You deserve some good things in life."
