Katalina's POV:
"Rebekah, tell me how handsome I am." Kol said as he was getting his suit fitted for him. I smiled as I sat next to her.
"Ah, Kol, you know I can't be compelled. Why don't you ask your lovely mate." Rebekah said.
"Katalina, darling." Kol said as he looked at me.
"You look very handsome." I tell him making he smirk. Then suddenly Nik burst into the room.
"You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?" Nik asked Rebekah.
"Here we go." She said.
"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Nik threatened.
"Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?" Kol asked.
"Oh, go back to staring at yourself." Nik said to Kol.
"And who are you, my father?" Kol said.
"No, Kol. But your in my house." Nik said then suddenly Kol starts to get into Nik's face.
"Then perhaps we should go outside." Kol said.
"Alright boys, that's enough." I said as I stood between them. Then Esther walks in.
"Niklaus..." She said.
"Come." Nik then proceeded to leave the room with his mother.
"So darling, tell me do you have any other mates beside me and my brother's?" Kol asked me.
"I do. But he's in love with my twin and not me." I said.
"I say we kill him." Kol said.
"No one is killing anyone." I said to him. I could see the small pout on his face.
"Well, I have a ball to get ready for. I will see you all later tonight." I said. I said my goodbyes to my mates and as I walked out of the room I ran into Nik.
"Going somewhere, love?" He asked.
"Yes, home so I can get ready." I tell Nik.
"Have my brother's asked you to be there date?" He asked. I looked at Nik with a smile.
"No, not yet." I said.
"Katalina Maria Hale, could you be my date tonight." I smiled at him.
"Of course, I would love too." I said with a smile. He then pulled me into a loving kiss.
"I have a surprise waiting for you at your house." He said. I couldn't help but smile even more.
"I'll see you tonight." I said as I walked out.
~Later that night at the Mikaelson Ball~
Damon's POV:
"Hello, Carol." I say as I walk over to the mayor with two glasses of champagne in my hands.
"Hello." She says to me.
"Hanging out with your new besties?" I aske her.
"I'm the mayor, Damon. When the oldest, deadliest family of vampires moves into your town, you welcome then with a smile." She said.
"Well, at least you know who you're borrowing that cup of sugar from." I tell her.
"I'm trying to protect this town. They've assured me they want peace and I've assured them that I'd enforce it." Carol said.
