As Jimin stepped out of Grandma’s room, a peaceful silence filled the mansion. It was almost 9 p.m., and the dim lights cast

a warm glow over the elegant staircase. He sighed softly, feeling the tiredness settle in his body. All he wanted now was to go back to the cottage and rest.

As he descended the stairs, lost in his thoughts, his foot suddenly slipped on the smooth surface. His breath hitched as he felt himself falling, panic rushing through him. But before he could hit the ground, strong hands grabbed his waist, pulling him back firmly against a solid chest.

Jimin gasped, eyes wide, his heartbeat pounding against his ribs. The scent of expensive cologne mixed with something uniquely warm and familiar surrounded him.

“Be careful,” a deep voice murmured close to his ear.

Jimin’s breath hitched as he slowly looked up, only to meet Yoongi’s dark, unreadable eyes. The way Yoongi held him, one hand firm on his waist, the other gripping his wrist, sent a shiver down his spine. Jimin swallowed, suddenly too aware of the warmth radiating between them.

“I—I almost fell,” Jimin stuttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Yoongi’s gaze didn’t waver. “I saw that,” he said, his tone as cold as ever, yet there was something else—something unreadable in his eyes.

For a moment, they stood there, frozen in place. Jimin could feel Yoongi’s heartbeat, steady and calm, while his own was racing wildly. His hands clutched Yoongi’s sleeves unconsciously, as if afraid to let go.

Yoongi was the first to break the moment. He gently but firmly steadied Jimin before stepping back, creating a distance between them. “Watch where you’re going next time,” he said flatly, shoving his hands into his pockets.

Jimin nodded quickly, feeling his cheeks heat up. “Yeah… Thanks, Yoongi-hyung.”

Yoongi gave him one last unreadable look before turning on his heel and walking away, leaving Jimin standing there, breathless and confused.

Jimin placed a hand over his racing heart, staring at Yoongi’s retreating figure. “What the hell…” he whispered to himself, shaking his head before making his way back to the cottage, his mind filled with the lingering warmth of Yoongi’s touch.

Jimin finally reached his cottage, but even as he closed the door behind him, his heart was still beating wildly. He pressed a hand against his chest, trying to calm himself.

"Why does he always have to be like this?" he mumbled to himself, kicking off his shoes and slumping onto the bed.

One moment, Yoongi was cold and distant, and the next, he was catching Jimin like some kind of drama scene hero. Jimin groaned, burying his face in his hands. "What the hell, Min Yoongi?"
