Chapter 1 Living in hell

As Lexi walked to her locker she noticed something was different. She stopped looked around nervously. Everyone around her was whispering. Where they talking about her. I mean it wouldn't be the first time. Lexi is the kind of girl you will find being talked and teased about. She carried on walking to her locker. When she got there she found her two best friends waiting for her. They to where whispering.
"Hey guys" Lexi said as she unlocked her locker and started putting books from her bag into it.
"Oh hey Lexi" Emma said quietly.
"Why is everyone so quiet?" Lexi asked shutting her locker.
"You haven't herd?" Clair said looking frightened to even talk.
"Herd what exactly?" Lexi said worriedly.
"Well you know Tom?"
"Yes"
"Well he went missing last night. He left to go home from school and never got back"
"What?!" Lexi said nearly dropping her bag in shock.
"People are saying he's been kidnaped" Clair said looking scared.
"Do you think the kidnapper will come back for more people?!" She squealed.
"Yeh I bet they will and when they do they will take the fat little scared kid" said a sneering voice from behind Emma.
A tall girl with long blond hair pushed passed Emma and rounded on Clair. As she did so a bunch of other girls pushed passed and surrounded Clair. The main girl was called lura a stuck up rich kid who got everything she wanted. The rest of the girls where like small versions of her. They all glared at Clair like a pack of wolfs would before eating a helpless little rabbit.
"When we see them we will make sure to tell them where you live. Well they probably won't want you anyway since your so fat you probably wouldn't fit in there van!"
Clair looked down at her feet. She was a little big but not fat. One of the other girls grabbed Clair's bag and tried to pull it off her.
"STOP" Lexi screamed pulling Emma's hand whilst as she pushed her way into the circle.
"Leave her alone. What has she done to you" Lexi shouted. She was about to say some more but got cut of as lura had punched her in the face. Lexi fell to the ground with a loud thud. Lura and all her friends started laughing and walked of saying "Losers in the kidnaping list!"
"Oh my god Lexi are you ok" Emma said helping Lexi up.
"Are you ok Lexi" said Clair "are you hurt?"
"No, I'm ok don't worry" Lexi stammered "if I ever get the chance to kill someone I will kill her" just them the bell started to ring.
"Great now we have to sit in a class with her" Emma said helping Lexi pick her stuff up.
"Ugh what joy" Lexi grumbled "ugh and its history as well" most people think that Lexi, Emma and Clair and all geeky and love school. But that is far from school. There just like any other high school girl. But it just happens that things don't always go right for them. And they have for me them selfs near the bottom of the school food chain. Although the dream of being really pretty and popular. They understand that that would need some sort of fairy godmother to help make it come true. As they walked to there history class they could hear people talking about Tom going missing. What could have happened to him Lexi thought. She knew Tom. He was in her science class. He was a pretty clever person and would never get lost. She could remember him going on about how he was some sort of Boy Scout. If he was a Boy Scout how had he got lost. "Dose this mean there is a kidnapper" Lexi said to herself "no no there can't be with all the technology they have now days they would have known if it was a kidnapping or not right?" She shook the thought out her head and decided to as Clair and Emma what they were doing at the weekend.
"So have you guys got plans this weekend maybe we could meet up"
"I'm not doing anything" Emma said looking to Clair.
"Ether" Clair replied "you could both come to mine for a sleepover after the museum trip on Friday"
"Oh yeh that's a good idea Clair I forgot about the trip" Emma said joyfully
"Ok so mine after the trip yeh?" Clair asked
"Yes yours after the trio" Lexi answered
When they reached there history class they could see Mr Clark welcoming people in. The three walked into the class and found some desk in the middle of the room. They sat down and looked around to see who else was in the room.
"Oh look!" Emma whispered to Lexi and Clair exilebtly
"What?" They both asked
"It's Daniel!" She said pointing to a boy at the near front of the class "he must have moved from modern studies to history" Daniel Jail was a hit brown haired boy with bright green eyes and a beautiful tan. The three girls had a bit of a crush in him but Emma loved him the most. At that very moment Daniel turned around and smiled and the three girls and started to wave.
"Oh my gosh is he waving at us?" Said Emma nearly falling of her seat.
"Yeh I think so!" Lexi replied. Emma started to wave back she had a massive smile one her face. She was waving so vigorously that her pink cap she was wearing nearly fell off.
"He's not waving at you" said a sour voice pushing past them. "He's waving to me" said a tall ginger haired girl. It was Lura's best friend Arian.
"Don't looked to shocked Emma I mean he is my boyfriend after all and he would never date you with you stupid little cap" she said laughing. Emma took off her cap and shoved it into her bag. Emma had a bit of a strange fashion sense she would wear a cap with the machine colour as her top. Along with a pair of brown trousers. She said that it made her who she was. But it just made her a bigger target for being pushed around.
"He just ignore her Em I'm sure she forced him to date her and she said she would use her witchy powers to turn him into a snail of he didn't" Lexi said with a smile on her face. Emma giggled. Lexi was quite a funny person. But no one would take her seriously because of her glasses. She had big black glasses that covered nearly half her face. When People saw he in the corridor the would call her bug eyes. It was mostly Lura and Arian who did this.
"Ok ok settle down now class" shouted Mr Clark. He turned around and started writing on the bored
"Now medieval times. A time full of dirty streets, small houses, executions and witch craft!" He guy to look at the class with a editable look in his eye "Now this is what we will be looking at on Friday at the museum. We will learn about how people lived in these times. So if you would be so kindly to turn to page 108 and start reading the first paragraph I would like you to answer the question at the bottom of the page on the living conditions" the class groaned. "now now I don't want to hear nun of that or I will have to burn you to the stake of you go"
"Great this looks like fun" Lexi said sarcastically. What could be better than learning about dirty houses.
"Living in one!" Clair said laughing
"Ha well we kinda do live in one" Emma said looking around the class.
"We do?" Lexi said surprised "last time I checked my house didn't have pigs running about and mud everywhere"
"No not you house the school" Emma said starting to laughing agin. "It's infested with dirty creatures called lura and Arian"
"It's like a living hell here with them" Lexi said sharply
"Yeh let's see if we can ask at the museum how a witch burning really works and say they want a go at it" Clair said solemnly
"Look again Clair full of ideas today aren't you" Emma said as she scribbled down stuff about medieval toilets into her jotter.
Lexi started to write about the food in the medieval times but then stopped. She had noticed a neatly folded up bit of paper under her desk. She lent down to pick it up and noticed it was addressed to someone. She gasped as she saw who it was addressed to "TOM" it said it big blue writing. Lexi unfolded the paper and started to read.
To Tom
I know you have it. Just hand it over and you won't get hurt. Don't think you can run. You are not as powerful as me. If you do run. You can say bye bye to this little town.
Lexi dropped the paper in shock.
"What's wrong" Clair said "are you stuck in question four"
"Tom he..he was killed by someone in this school"
