Jimin was sitting at his desk, studying, when his phone suddenly rang. He frowned at the unknown number before answering.

"Hello, are you Jimin?" a voice asked.

"Yes... who's this?" he replied hesitantly.

"I'm calling from Busan. Is Park Aerum your mother?"

Jimin's grip on the phone tightened. "Y-yes, she's my mother. What happened?!"

"She was crossing the road and got into an accident. She's in the village hospital."

"W-what?" Jimin's breath hitched, his heart dropping to his stomach.

Jimin felt his whole body freeze. His grip on the phone tightened, and he could hear his heart pounding in his ears. His breath came out shaky as he tried to process the words.

"W-what do you mean an accident? Is she okay?" Jimin asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"She was hit by a car while crossing the road. The injuries are serious, but she's stable for now. She was brought to the village hospital immediately," the person on the other end explained.

Jimin's vision blurred with tears. His mother... his only family. The woman who had worked tirelessly for him, who had sacrificed everything. And now she was lying in a hospital bed, injured.

"I-I need to come there. How bad is it? Is she conscious?" he asked frantically, already getting up from his chair, his hands shaking as he grabbed his wallet and keys.

"She lost a lot of blood, but she's conscious. The doctor said she might need surgery depending on how she recovers in the next few hours. You should come as soon as possible."

Jimin's legs felt weak. Surgery? Blood loss? He couldn't breathe properly. He wiped his tears quickly, trying to calm himself, but his mind was racing.

"I'll be there. Please... please take care of her until I arrive," Jimin pleaded.

"Of course. Come quickly."

The call ended, and Jimin stood frozen for a second before snapping out of it. He needed to go. Now.

Jimin rushed towards the mansion, his heart pounding. It was already nighttime, but he didn't care-he needed to leave for Busan immediately.

As he stepped inside, he saw everyone sitting in the living room-Grandma, Mr. and Mrs. Min, and Yoongi. They were chatting, but Grandma was the first to notice him.

"Jimin, dear, what's wrong? You look tense," she asked with concern.

Jimin swallowed the lump in his throat and took a shaky breath. "Grandma... I-I need to leave right now. My mother... she had an accident in Busan. She's in the hospital, and I need to get to her as soon as possible," he explained, his voice breaking slightly.
