Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been writing for a few days. I was working on my other stories and I had to babysit for a week. If you know what that's like, then yea you know how hard it is. Anyways, let's get back to the story! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Garnet's P.O.V
I know there's something up with Amethyst and Pearl but I have to watch Steven. They're always together or somewhere else. I try to have one of them stay and watch Steven while the other two go on a mission but they won't, so I stay to watch Steven. I like to watch, hold and play with Steven but I think they need to have a little fun with him.
"Pearl, Amethyst! Come here!" I yell and the temple door opens to see Pearl. Then Amethyst comes out behind her.
"Yes, Garnet?"
"Pearl, your gonna watch Steven while me and Amethyst go on a mission."
"But Garnet-"
"Pearl..."
"Okay..." I look over at Amethyst and she has a sad face. I look back at Pearl and she has the same.
"It's time you two get split up...c'mon Amethyst." I walk to the warp and turn around to see Pearl hugging Amethyst. Then I seen something unexpected, Amethyst kissed Pearl's gem. I shake it off and start to relax a bit.
"I'll be back...I promise."
"Okay..." I hear them talking and I call Amethyst over.
"We'll be back in an hour." We warp to the coming cation hub and examine it.

Pearl's P.O.V
Amethyst went with Garnet on a mission while I stay and watch Steven. He's not that hard to watch cuz he only sits in his carriage. He starts to cry so I walk up and give him a bottle. He calms down and drinks from it. When he was drinking from it I noticed the stars in his eyes, he was so cute when he did that. I sat on the couch and started to think about when we first met Rose. She was sweet, loving, and kind to each of us, she loved us all equally. She made us all feel loved, wanted, and useful, but she made me feel like I was everything, forever loved, and never forgotten. That all changed when Greg came by, she always hung out with him and barely had time to spend with us. We have Steven now and we love him just the way he is. He is unique, amazing, and one of a kind, nothing in the universe could match him or replace him. He has Rose's gem and her personalities, we will protect him, this planet, and his kind. Garnet loves to hold, feed, and sleep with him, she acts as if he is her own child and she's his mother. Amethyst loves to play, sleep, and mess around with him, she's like his big sister, he's her little brother. Me, I like to teach, sleep, and hold him, I'm like his other sister and he's like my brother. We all love him the same, and if he ever asks 'would you guys prefer me or mom?' I would answer with 'you!'. I do miss Rose but she's gone, we have Steven. He's our new leader...he encourages us, believes in us, and helps us with whatever we need. He is small, but he does all of this out of love we can tell. He started crying again so I got up and stood in front of him. He looked at me straight in the eyes and he calmed down, for a minuet I saw Rose. I picked him up and held him in my arms. I sat back down on the couch and he slowly fell asleep in my arms. I smiled at the image and started to hum a peaceful song. He fell asleep when the warp pad came on. Garnet and Amethyst stood there, it looked like they were almost ready to pass out or something.
"Guys! Are you okay?"
"Yea...we're fine, we just gotta take a break for a minuet."
"Minuet?! I need an hour! We almost died in a fight with that huge scorpion!!" Amethyst yelled and threw herself on the couch. Garnet just walked back into the temple.
"Amethyst...are you okay?"
"Yea I'm fine...I just need to calm down and rest..."
"Okay...I'm gonna put Steven back in his carriage." I put him back in and Amethyst hugged me from the back. I turn around and see her still hugging me.
"Amethyst...are you sure your okay? If something's bothering you, you can tell me-"
"How are we gonna do this?"
"Do what?"
"Us...I mean, one of us has to stay with Steven while the other goes on a mission with Garnet...how are we gonna do this?" She said and let go.
"We'll make it out Amethyst...when he's grown up he'll be able to help us on missions...and who knows what his weapon might be..."
"He has Rose's gem...I have questions for that...like 'does he have her memories?' 'Does he have her powers?' 'Will he know us like she did?' 'Will he love us like she did?' 'Does he know anything about the gem war and how I was found?' Will he like me?"
"Amethyst...we all have questions for that but I know he will love you, he will love us all the same and care for us...just don't give up on him." After I said that she smiled and hugged me again. I looked back at Steven and he was still asleep, and Amethyst was about to fall asleep right there, I could tell.
"Hey, we should get some sleep."
"Okay." I pick her up and take her upstairs to Steven's bed, he is going to use it when he is older. She falls asleep in my arms and I soon fall asleep too. I know we will all love each other equally.
