Elemental Love- (ON HOLD)

Chapter 7

When we reached camp, Daniel was at it again. Always sucking up to Waterlily and giggling with her.

"Lily, you said that we could work on my Earth skills." I said to Lily, interrupting their giggling. When I said Earth, though, I turned to Daniel, to see his reaction. His eyes glistened at me, like making an apology for the way he acted today. I wanted to ignore him, but I couldn't, he was just so beautiful.

"W- what do y-ou think?" I stuttered, to Lily.

"Well, I got a LOT to do, Daniel what should I do?" Lily turned to Daniel.

"Since you have work, I can help her." Daniel said smiling at me. I couldn't help myself, I giggled.

Lily gave both of us a mean glare, "fine," she said, and stomped to the tent. Leaving both Daniel and I alone.

"So, you going to help?" I smiled.

"Only because I have to," Daniel said, "I am only making her jealous, so she wants me more."

"Oh, gotcha." I said sadly.

"Let's get to work then," Daniel replied. "I want you to hold out your hand, and think of a kind of earthy thing to do, got it?" I shook my head, "Moving on," Daniel said. "Now that you have got that element in your mind, think of it exploding right out of your hand, like this." Daniel put one hand around my waist the other on my arm, like he is going to help me shoot the green vines out of my arm around the trees in front of us. "Ready, go." He said gently with the arms still on my waist and hand. I wasn't mad, so I had a feeling this would be hard. I glanced at him, his eyes sparked with gray electricity and the moon suddenly became full. He was one of us, only instead when he is happy or whatever emotion he was in, it sparks. Maybe he wasn't trying to make Waterlily jealous. I closed my eyes and imagined the vines shooting out of my arms, all to make Daniel proud. Then, suddenly, the vines shot out of my hands and on the trees. The vines looked like they were actually strangling the tree. I turned to Daniel. "Amazing," He said, "Absolutely amazing." Daniel smiled and again I giggled. I wanted him, and I think he wanted me. To my surprise he leaned over and kissed me. I could feel the green and gray sparks everywhere. He found the brim of my shirt and held on. Is it possible to feel love after just one make out? The thought puzzled me. Few minutes later when we were done kissing he looked at me and back at Lily's tent. Like he was deciding who to choose. He slowly walked towards me and we stood there, hugging for a long time. My head in burrowed onto his chest. His on top of my head. "I am sorry for the way I acted today." Daniel said, we were still in the same position.

"It's fine, as long as we stick together, my world is complete." I say. We still stood there for a long time and Daniel said, "I think we should head to bed."

"Ok, sure." I smiled. We then both walked to my tent, holding hands.
