Two weeks had passed since Jung-guk and Sumi had moved into the Jeon residence, settling into a new routine alongside Jungkook and Tae. Though leaving the grandeur of the Jeon Haweli had been a significant change, their new home had something the old one never did-peace.
Jung-guk, now more responsible than before, had started to take his work seriously. He woke up early every morning, leaving on time, and returned with a newfound sense of purpose. Gone was the carefree, rebellious young man who once clashed with Jungkook. In his place stood someone who had begun to understand the weight of his responsibilities.
Sumi, too, had found a kind of freedom here that she never experienced at the Jeon Haweli. Though she still respected traditions, she no longer felt suffocated by them. She could wake up at her own pace, help in the household without being forced into rigid duties, and, most importantly, care for her baby without the constant scrutiny of the elders. It was a relief-something she had never dared to dream of before.
But among all the changes, little Mani-was the most blissful presence in the house. She had taken an inexplicable liking to her Kaki-sa, Tae. Whenever she was placed in someone else's arms, she would cry or squirm until she was handed back to Tae. Her tiny hands often reached out for her, her round cheeks pressing into Tae's shoulder whenever she held her close.
The days passed peacefully, but there was an undercurrent of anticipation in the air. Tae's belly had grown large, and she was due to give birth anytime now. The household had slowly begun preparing for the arrival of the new member.

The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm golden hue over the Jeon residence. A light morning breeze carried the faint scent of blooming jasmine as the haveli slowly stirred awake.
In the veranda, Jungkook was already deep into his morning workout-his well-defined muscles tensed as he performed push-ups effortlessly, sweat glistening on his skin. He switched to sword practice, each movement precise and powerful.
Just then, the door creaked open, and Jung-guk stepped out, yawning and stretching his arms lazily.
Jungkook glanced at him and smirked.
Jk- You're up early. (he remarked, tilting his head toward his younger brother)
Jung-guk let out a tired sigh.
Guk- Not by choice. (he muttered, rubbing his eyes)
Jungkook gestured toward the open space.
Jk- Come, join me. (he offered)
Jung-guk instantly took a step back, shaking his head firmly.
Guk- No, Bhai-sa. I'm fine. (he said, waving a hand dismissively) Your workouts are crazy. I don't want my body aching all day.
Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head in amusement.
Jk- You'll remain weak like this, Jung-guk. (he teased)
Jung-guk simply shrugged.
Guk- I'd rather be weak than suffer muscle pain for a whole week. (he retorted)
Jungkook was about to respond when-
A loud wail pierced through the quiet morning air.
Both brothers instantly turned their heads toward the source of the sound.
Jung-guk immediately recognized the cries and sprinted inside without another word.
By the time he reached the room, Mani, was awake, her tiny fists clenched as she cried out, demanding attention.
