Elizabeth is miserable, but that is understandable. She's trapped with a ship full of pirates. She was an already moody woman, but this isn't helping at all.
"How long do I have to be stuck on this filthy ship with these filthy pirates?" she whines.
"Not much longer, but you might not be too happy when you do get off the ship. Your use of the Turner name and the fact you have that medallion on your neck is what saved your life. They're going to use your blood to free themselves from the curse, but I don't know how much they'll need. "
She doesn't look too pleased with my description of the situation.
"Look, I'll do what I can to help you, but there's only so much I can do after they realize that your blood doesn't work. I can fight, but fighting a crew of unkillable undead pirates might be a little out of my league. "
"What about your new pet? Can't it do something?"
"Number one, it's a she. Number two, the Isla de Muerta is an island. A sea creature might have a little trouble doing anything on an island. If there is any trouble in the water, she can help there. And number three, she's not my "pet", she's an independent intelligent creature that is free to do what she chooses. I don't command her, I ask her."
"Commodore Norrington will be out looking for me." she declares.
"Elizabeth, the sea is vast, and the Isla de Muerta can't be found unless someone who's already been there tells you how to find it...." I trail off as a realization hits me. And the answer is quite hard to miss.
"Jack Sparrow." I exclaim, but the moment quickly fades. I have never known Jack to do anything unless it directly involves helping him, or with enough "coaxing". You can coax just about anyone into just about anything with a gun leveled at their head.
Elizabeth is confused. "What does he have to do with any of this?"
"Your life or death." I reply.
