When Anna thought about it, opening the castle gates had a double meaning. Along with the literal action there was a metaphorical definition: opening the heart. Her relationship with Elsa had potential to rebuild-more than potential, it would. Anna was sure of this. She needed to trust her sister as difficult as it may be but she was not alone. The Kingdom of Arendelle stood behind her with adapting to the Queen ruling them but the Queen they never knew.
Elsa needed support, she needed that trust more than Anna did. Both knew this yet the denial seemed mutual. Elsa put up a bold face while Anna grasped at every opportunity she had to make human contact. She spent a good amount of time observing how the citizens lived day-to-day. She saw this as a tool of interaction-to be kind, friendly, to be a solid sidekick to the Queen.
The Queen. In all honestly, Anna felt the title strange (or in her words: totally crazy and bizarre). Yes, her sister had the status since the death of their parents and officially crowned two weeks ago, but Elsa was her sister. The sister she lost time with growing up, the sister she should have annoyed and poked at, the sister who was supposed to protect her and or be impossibly bossy. To be continued.
