Hello my name is Maggie, I am sixteen years old and I live with my mom. My dad left us when I was three and I never heard from him again. I have always wondered what it would feel like to have a father or someone to love you and never want to let go.
This time I wasn't going to make the mistake of letting my dream go by. I was going to go on a little trip in a big world that lies before my eyes. I am a little scared but at the same time I am relieved, I am finally going to do something for myself. I am going to find my dad.
I don't know how I am going to tell my mom. Maybe I should just write a note and tell her what I will be doing. First I am going to pack my stuff before I do anything.
Now that I got that done I can finally write my note which says:
Mom,
I know you probably won't agree to what I will be doing for the next few months but, I just want you to know that I love you and I decided to go find my father. I am sorry if I disappoint you but I fell that it is the right thing to do.
