The Next Morning
Kavin paced around his office, his mind clouded with thoughts of Purvi. He couldn’t shake off the shock of the stolen designs and her sudden rise to prominence in the business world. His phone buzzed—it was his assistant.

“Sir, Ms. Purvi is here to meet you.”

His heart raced, conflicted between anger and relief. “Send her in,” he said, his voice sharper than intended.

Purvi walked in with her head held high, wearing a sharp black blazer. Her confidence filled the room.

“What’s the meaning of all this?” Kavin burst out, holding up his phone with the incriminating email on the screen. “Did you really steal the designs? Tell me, Purvi, are you working with your mother now?”

Purvi’s jaw tightened, and she crossed her arms. “First of all, lower your tone. I don’t owe you any explanations, Kavin. Secondly, you should know me better than to accuse me of something like this.”

“I thought I knew you!” Kavin snapped, his possessive streak taking over. “But disappearing for days and then this? Do you even realize what this has done to me? To us?”

Purvi’s eyes burned with determination. “I don’t need to explain my choices to you, Kavin. I’m not some damsel who needs rescuing. I made a decision for my life, and I’ll deal with the consequences.”

“Your life?” he echoed, his frustration boiling over. “What about us? Don’t I matter to you at all?”

Purvi stepped closer, her voice cold. “You matter, Kavin. But right now, I matter more. I won’t let anyone, not even you, question my integrity or my decisions. If you can’t handle that, maybe you need to rethink where you stand in my life.”

Kavin clenched his fists, trying to reign in his emotions. “I just want to protect you, Purvi. You’re all I care about, but sometimes you make it so hard…”

Purvi softened slightly but didn’t let her guard down. “And I don’t need protecting, Kavin. I need someone who trusts me, even when the whole world doesn’t.”

---

Meanwhile
Purvi’s mother sat in her lavish mansion, a sly smile on her face. She poured herself a glass of wine as her assistant placed some documents before her.

“The plan is going perfectly, ma’am,” the assistant said. “Kavin is doubting Purvi, and the media is eating up the narrative of her stealing the designs.”

Her mother smirked. “Good. Let her burn all her bridges. When she has nowhere else to go, she’ll come running back to me. And when she does…”

The assistant hesitated. “What if she finds out the truth?”

“She won’t,” her mother said coldly. “Purvi is strong, but even the strongest fall when they’re alone. I’ll make sure of it.”

Later That Evening
Purvi sat in her new office, reviewing the contracts for the deal she had closed. She had spent the past three days working tirelessly to prove herself, but her mind kept drifting back to Kavin.

Her phone buzzed—it was a text from Kavin.

“I need to see you. Please.”

She sighed, knowing they couldn’t leave things the way they were.

The Confrontation
When Purvi arrived at Kavin’s apartment, he was already waiting by the door. His face was a mixture of anger, frustration, and longing.

“Thank you for coming,” he said, his voice softer now.

“I didn’t come for you,” she said bluntly. “I came for us.”

Kavin gestured for her to come in. “I don’t know how to do this, Purvi. I’m scared of losing you, but I hate that you won’t let me in.”

“You want to know the truth?” Purvi asked, stepping closer to him. “I didn’t steal the designs, Kavin. But someone close to me did, and I’m trying to fix it without dragging anyone else into the mess.”

“Your mother,” Kavin guessed, his jaw tightening.

Purvi nodded. “Yes. She’s playing a dangerous game, and I refuse to let her win. But I can’t do this if the people I care about don’t believe in me.”

Kavin looked at her, his anger melting away. “I’m sorry, Purvi. I should’ve trusted you. I just… I couldn’t stand the thought of losing you to all this chaos.”

“You won’t lose me, Kavin,” she said firmly. “But you have to let me handle things my way. I’m not the scared, naïve girl I used to be. I’ve grown, and I won’t let anyone take away what I’ve worked for—not even my mother.”

---

The Plot Thickens
As Purvi and Kavin began to rebuild their trust, her mother started to lose control of her carefully laid plans. Purvi had discovered evidence linking her mother to the design theft and was preparing to expose her.

But her mother wasn’t going down without a fight. She leaked false information to the media, painting Purvi as the mastermind behind the stolen designs.

Kavin stood by Purvi’s side through the storm, but the pressure began to take its toll. Their fights became more frequent, driven by Kavin’s overprotectiveness and Purvi’s refusal to let him fight her battles.

“Why won’t you let me help you?” Kavin demanded during one argument.

“Because this is my fight, Kavin!” Purvi shot back. “You need to trust that I can handle it.”

“I do trust you,” he said, his voice breaking. “But I’m terrified of what your mother will do to you. I can’t just sit back and watch.”

“And I can’t let you get hurt because of me,” Purvi said, her voice softening.
