"Don't you dare splash me!" I giggled while locking my car and putting the keys in my tye dye drawstring bag.
"You look really cute..." Jace said while staring at the ground and blushing.
We walked in silence for awhile before I spoke.
"Jace...How long have we been best friends?" I asked.
"About two and a half months. Why?" He replied.
"Well, since it has been that long and...you do trust me don't you?" I asked as we continued to walk toward the pier.
"I trust you with everything I have. Everything I am and everything I will be." He said with all seriousness.
"Then, why won't you tell me where you go when you have to leave or where you live or what you do?" I asked with a little too much attitude.
"I told you already. I'm not allowed to." He stated, obviously wanting to change the subject. "I'll tell you when your ready and if I get approval....maybe."
I strutted away, with aggravation filling my mind. I reached the pier and removed my ripped shorts and loose tank, to reveal my black and white, strapless volcom bathing suit. I jumped straight into the water off of the pier. I came up for air and felt ams take hold of my waist and carry me, bridal style.
"Jace. Put me down." I said sternly, holding my grudge.
"Don't be mad at me." he said making a pouting face.
"Stop. I'm not falling for that stupid look."
"Well, I guess I will have to just...." he paused before tickling me. I was laughing uncontrollably and he was smiling, admiring my features and my "adorable" laugh. He stopped and stared into my eyes.
"Stop throwing a fit. Come on. Let's go home. I'll stay until you fall asleep." He said letting me go, as we were still underwater.
"Will you just stay the night? Please? One night?" I asked looking inyo his eyes.
"I-I can't." He said looking sad. "I'll try. Okay?" He asked.
I smiled and nodded my head. We climbed back onto the pier and got our towels. We dried off and climbed back into my black Jeep wrangler. The entire ride home was filled with jokes, singing and laughter.
"Hurry up, Jace! I'm freezing!" I shouted while unlocking my door. Stephen was gone. He worked the night shift at the hospital. He is a doctor at night, in the emergency room.
"Sorry! You left me with all your junk!" Jace said handing me my things, including my keys to the house. I unlocked my house and we ran upstairs. The farther up the stairs we got, the colder it was. We entered my room and turned on my tv.We both ran under my covers.
"Your shivering." Jace said with a chuckle.
"Then cuddle with me, you idiot." I replied.
He made a small laugh and wrapped his arms around me. We faced inward toward each other. My leg was inbetween his and my head was on his chest. My hands were placed on his chest and I could feel his heart beating at a thousand miles per hour. I smiled.
"Calm down. I get it. I'm like the only girl that you've ever done this with but, just breathe." I whispered.
He smiled and said "I really don't want to go."
"I don't ever want you to go. Don't leave. Don't ever leave." I replied.
