Spring of the Dead

It was almost the end of the school day, my eyes drooped as I stared blankly at the chalkboard. None of what our teacher was saying was of any importance to me, it being the beginning of the semester all we were really doing was reviewing past lectures. As I said before that meant nothing to me. I could feel myself dozing off, my head nodded and I rubbed my eye softly, I could feel myself drifting off until I was jolted awake by Komuro bursting into the door and grabbing Rei's arm.
"Someone's been killed at the front gate!" he exclaimed.

'that doesn't make any sense,'

Rei must have thought the same because he resisted his grip, her boyfriend and my friend, Hisashi, who jumped up along with me. I didn't think it would startle me so much but I flinched when I saw Kumoro had slapped her.

I couldn't get over those words, I couldn't believe it and yet- I couldn't risk it. I quickly got out of my chair and followed the three,
"Hisashi, don't leave me, what ever happened to bros before hoes." I joked quietly as I walked behind them,
"Sorry Riz."
"It's alright, I know you know I'm kidding." I smiled lightly.

"Just tell me what's going on!" Rei huffed as we walked quickly down the hall, our footsteps echoing.
"There was someone at the school gate, P.E. teachers went to check it out and something happened." Kumoro quickly explained much to my relief, but when he continued I felt a chill roll down my spine,
"And then they started killing each other!"
"That's insane." Rei replied, flabbergasted at the thought, she thought he was kidding but I already knew and I don't know if it's all the movies I watch but it gave me an idea of what we were facing.

Hisashi opened a stairwell and grabbed some tools, we ignored Kumoro's irritated statement and I grabbed myself one of the two bats,
"If what you say is true we'll need weapons." Hisashi took off the head of a broom and handed it to Rei
"What about you?" Kumoro raised an eyebrow and Hisashi shrugged,
"I have a black belt in karate-"
"Hisashi, I have one too but you don't see me refusing a sturdy bat do you?" I glanced at him and gripped my weapon,
"Hnk- come on we gotta get out of the school." he looked around at us and we all nodded.
"Let's call the police- talk to my father.." Rei butted in and bit her lip, Kumoro nodded and handed her his cellphone.
"School rules are meant to be broken."
One ring, two rings- the number can not be reached.. I knew it, this shit is real.

"This announcement is for all the students, an emergency situation is taking place inside the school right now, all students must follow their teachers instructions right now and evacuate, I repeat all students-"
"So they finally realized it." "-An emergency situation is taking place inside of the school right now-"CHIIMMM, the loudspeaker chimed and the voice stopped.
"Its happening." Komuro said quickly his eyes darted to me then the speaker,
"Get away from me-hrk-get back! UUUAH- UAAAH- HELP HEEEEELLLPP-crash!-AAAAAAAH-"
