Eat One's Heart Out

Oh so many ages have rolled by,
But the monster still lurks beneath the sky,
In you, in me, in the morning or at nigh',
Watching all your moves without a blink of their eye.

And they want your fame, your fortune, your glory as well,
Monster's in their head to them orders yell,
Faces of destruction, like serpents in tortoise's shell,
Ready to pull you down to the depths of hell,
For jealous souls have their own scout,
They do no good but eat one's heart out.

Green their faces as they want and want even more,
So hungry that they even chain down eagle's that soar,
Human wombs did monsters bore,
Smiling faces with burning core.

Sad are they themselves, for they seek your joy,
They try to bring you down beneath them and treat you like their toy,
They'll chain you, enslave you, no distinction between girl or boy,
But through it all learn to pity them for themselves they are misled coy,
And jealous souls are the best tout,
They do no good but eat one's heart out.

They seek pleasures but they know not why,
Like mad dogs chasing aimlessly the cars passing by,
Their nature makes them lonely, makes them sad and cry,
Failing to understand that love demands sacrifice and peace no money can buy.

Those reading know this too,
Their end is lonely with no tears but greater boo,
Play not with man for they have fought monsters just to bring them to zoo,
But tell me has there been any good that comes from biting more than you can chew?
You jealous souls are primeval without a doubt,
Teach yourself to eat better instead of trying to eat one's heart out.
