ZACHARY'S POV

I walked up to my house as slowly as I can savoring the time away from my dad. My mom always just stood there doing nothing. I opened the front door getting ready to bolt upstairs, but my father's voice beat me to it,"Is that you boy?" My dad said with a gravely voice. I simply responded after he got off the couch and stalked towards me. My dad was once the most popular guy in school. He had ever thing perfect in his life. Riches, popularity, perfect girlfriend, sports....all that came crumbling down when I was born, or so he tells me. He expects me to be just like him and that's why I am dating Brittany. I think that's who Fade was talking about. I tensed as I thought of her. She really was an odd ball....but....Something pulls me to her. She is used to everybody looking at her so if I do, I don't feel like a stalkerish hobo. She is a very pretty girl and I can't imagine what she would look like wearing makeup. Before I could think about anything else I heard pounding on my bedroom door. "Boy, dinner is ready." I slowly walked down the stairs until I sat at the dinner table with my "perfect" parents. "So, what happened at school today?" My dad grumbled looking very intreseted. Knowing what would happen if  I didn't give a long detailed story, I simply said, "Not a lot. I aced my tests, coach said I am doing great, but need to work on my stretching, and that's pretty much it. My father looking satisfied, returned to his food and the rest of dinner went  smoothly. I sighed in relief when dinner was over and slowly walked to my room. I walked into my closet of a room and sat on my rock hard bed. I stared at my ceiling fan about to fall asleep
When my phone vibrated. It was literally a brick but the only reason I have it, is so if there is anything about practice I will know. Looking at it, I see its one of my "friends" mikey. I ignored it and slowly drifted off too another sleepless sleep
