"Princess, stop that this instance!"
"But Mary, why? It is fun!"
My lady in training Mary always tells me not to do things. Normally it stuff like fighting with the guards or going outside by myself. She says it is not proper for a princess to act like a "Gentlemen".
"It's not proper for the Princess of Azalea to be sword fighting with guards," Mary kept on chastising.
"But it's fun because they can't even beat me."
My name is Lily Rose Azalea, or Princess Lily. I'm the heir to my father's throne. The country my family rules is a small country island that is covered in flowers, but mainly azaleas. I'm not the type of princess you would see in a fairy tale or the type who wants someone else to do it for me. I am a tomboy. I like to fight, play sports, I hate dresses and makeup.
"Come on princess we your father requested to see you and we most get you in proper clothing." Mary kept on saying how a "proper lady" should always wear a skirt or a dress, not jeans and a T-shirt.
"Okay fine." I sighed. "So what does my father want to see me about?"
"Don't know." Mary said.
When we arrived at my room people were already ready to make me look like a preppy looking idiot. The usual giant skirt and constricting shirt to make the vilest thing in the world, a dress, to make it worst it was pink.
"Do I have wear this monstrosity?" I said with an overdramatic sigh.
"Yes, now stop complaining"
"You're not my nanny" I muttered under my breath
After getting on clown makeup we went to see my father in his throne room. In the room were my father, my step-mother, and the Prince of the neighboring kingdom, Thorn.
The Prince of Thorn is Trace Taylor Thorn. He has blond hair, emerald colored eyes, masculine build, and boyish features. His attitude is horrible, he is a cheating b@$*@#%, sexist, and uses his power for all the wrong reasons, plus he thinks that women need be saved. We used to be quite close, but that changed after he cheated on my best friend and she committed suicide because of it.
"Good afternoon Father, Mother, Prince Trace." I said to everyone giving Trey death glares.
"Good afternoon sweet." My father and mother (a/n: the step-mother is the person she calls mom or Mother)
"Have you called for me?"
"The reason we have called you is to tell you that Prince Trace will be your bodyguard from now on."
"WHAT? WHY?"
TRACE'S P.O.V
So I am at the Kingdom Azalea because my father wants me to be the bodyguard to Lily. The reason they want me to be her bodyguard is because both of our parents are hoping we fall in love. Yea I am in love Lily, but she hates me since I cheated on her best friend.
"You have to understand it's danger for you Lily," her father says, snapping me out of my daze.
"But I can protect myself." She shouts at her father. Her blue eyes are burning and her black hair falling out of place.
"You must have a bodyguard!" her father says mad she doesn't just except it.
"What if I prove he's incapable of protecting me, by ummmm fighting me?"
"What? Absolu-"
"I except," I say cutting him off "but if I win you must except me as your bodyguard without any complaints."
"Fine," she replies "but, if I win then you leave me alone, and we are doing three different types of competitions."
"Okay"
"Then see you tomorrow at dawn." She says bidding her goodbyes
