The clock read 2:31am. I yawned widely until I remembered my company, who was sat bolt upright both very awake and alert. He was probably used to being awake at this time in the morning and I saw no reason to give in to sleep when it was probably another tendency that he deemed as weak.
'Sleep' he muttered looking me in the eye, I shook my head and looked away.

I arose from a deep yet unsatisfactory sleep, groggy and annoyed at my disturbance, 3:44am. A distant voice reached me through the haze.
'Open your eyes slowly and listen to me' Zayn whispered ' ... and act normal' he added. I did as I was told, taking time to stretch and adjust my position in the padded seat before leaning in desperately to find out what was happening,
'That woman over there, she's been watching us.' He breathed, the minty scent of his breath warm landing heavenly on my face, making my thoughts go strangely blank. After a minute my brain re-woke and I began process his previous words, I waited for a moment then glanced behind.

Relief. I stopped a laugh from escaping as I saw her- now two seats behind sat the same very old woman who I had seen earlier, looking even more disheveled and vacant than before.
'You can't mean her?!? She doesn't know what she's doing, let alone spying on anyone!' I hissed in disbelief. He rolled his eyes at my outburst and I scowled in return but my irritation quickly turned to suspicion. 'Why are you so worried about being watched?' What's happened? I paused, still no rely. 'How come you never show up to meet me? Are you in trouble again?' The silence returned, he avoided my glare whilst I became impatient. 'ZAYN ANSWER ME'  The old lady behind us looked round and Zayn's strong hand reached out to grasp my wrists pulling me closer to his unreadable face. I stared him out trying to read his thoughts until I felt the warmth of his thumb rubbing my palm in circular motions and all I could concentrate on was trying not to blush. He leaned in closer again, so close in fact that I could see each and every eyelash framing his almond eyes, but this time it was me that breaks away breathless. A crooked smile crept across his face, and in an instant his jaw relaxed changing his face completely so that he appeared years younger. 'I'm so glad you haven't changed Liv' he told me, my heart leapt but I grinned and told him not to change the subject.

4am We got off the train and Zayn hastily directed me out of the station and through the streets to a small apartment just around the corner. Somehow the cold air had woken me up properly, leaving me wide awake and ready to enter full interrogation mode as soon as we entered inside. The flat however, to my surprise was not empty and I couldn't help feeling disappointed that we wouldn't be alone again. Two boys, or men I should say as they must have been at least 18 years of age, were sat on the couch playing Xbox and turned to greet Zayn with a thumping hug as he walked in. I followed awkwardly behind, unsure of what to do or say, into the light of the room, Both men smiled widely at me, one of them winking at Zayn all too obviously causing a faint blush to creep over my cheeks, and I smiled back cautiously,
'So glad to finally meet you Liv, has Zayn finally asked you out on a date then?' the taller of them remarked.
'Yeah, we never thought we'd actually meet the ?' The shorter stockier of the two men joined in, grinning at Zayn who looked as if he was going to murder the two of them before my eyes.
