Riley's P.O.V
I miss Maya so much . Those are the only words that can seem to come to mind. However , I try to stay strong for Daisy .Daisy is Maya and I's five year old daughter . It's very hard to be strong around her, because when I look at her , I see Maya . She has blond hair, blue eyes,and freckles , just like her. I get a text from my dad. "Your mom was in a car accident . Hospital . Hurry. -dad." I read. I panicked and drove down to the hospital.Daisy was in kindergarten , so I had nothing to do but drive . After I got there , I went to the desk. "Topanga Matthews." I said in short breaths . "Right this way." The doctor said . I didn't have time to ask why her voice sounded so familiar or why she had a big floppy hat , and her head down so I couldn't see her face. It's like she was hiding it. She lead me to a room where I saw my mom lying down with her eyes closed and my dad sitting in a chair beside her bed. "Surprise!" She exclaimed , sitting up. "Mom , aren't you hurt?" I asked . "No." She said ."I think you're here to see someone else. The mysterious doctor took off her hat. It wasn't a stranger , it was Maya! Tears burned my eyes as I tried to muffle my cries by putting my hand over my mouth . It failed miserably . "Maya!" I tried to exclaim , but I couldn't speak. My voice was barely over a whisper. She opened her arms and I ran into them. I sobbed into her chest . I was so happy . Maya rubbed circles in my back. "I missed you, love bug ." She whispered into my ear . "I missed you too." I said. We pulled back . "Daisy !" I exclaimed. "Huh?" Maya asked . "Daisy is still at school! You can suprise them!" I exclaimed , hugging Maya again. Boy, was Daisy in for a treat.
