That was the longest flight I have ever experienced and to be quite frank I'm glad to see the back of that airport. I had a 9 year old snobby girl sitting next to me on the plane, and her mum was no better. The noise of her singing I could tolerate as I had my headphones in and it drawn out the dreadful sound, but even then she found a way to annoy me it started with her touching my book I brought to read, she then decided it was okay to take the book my great grandmother gave me before she died a few years back and start roughly going through the book and after a few failed attempts of trying to get it of her, her mum decided to step in and tell me to leave her daughter alone using some swear words in there too, you know how it is. After finally getting it back I sat there in silence with all my belongings safely back in my bag.

But despite that rough journey my spirit for this move has not been dampened.

'Aunt June' I shoot quickening my pace towards her, she opens her arms and brings me into a warm embrace. 'Soph darling how was your flight' can you tell she's my mums sister with the 'darling' it's a Clare thing (my mums side off the family) I've never really caught onto that saying thank goodness. It's so British.

As we pull in the the WSU campus I let out a small cheer. I'm finally here the place of my dreams. As I walk towards the sign in table I can't help but have the biggest a grin on my face, I just can't believe I'm actually here.

'Name please' the youngish looking man behind the table asks me wearing the stable WSU polo shirt, I want one. 'Sophia Amelia Anderson' I'm not sure if he's understood me properly because the look on his face right now is  hilarious. 'Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but I'm struggling to understand your accent' I give him a reassuring smile and let out a little giggle to break the awkwardness 'don't worry about it, my names Sophia Amelia Anderson' I repeat for the second time but i don't mind. 'Here you go Sophia, I hope your experience at WSU is great' the youngish man says with a smile. 'Thank you' I give him a smile and walk towards the dorms.

Seeing everyone here with their mums and dads, makes me wish mine were here to help me settle in but my things should be arriving soon. 'I'll be fine' I say quietly trying to reassure myself.

I walk in to find a girl dressed in jeans and a plain white tee. 'Hey I'm Sophia' I say to the extremely pretty girl, offering out my hand 'hey Sophia I'm Jessica but you can call be Jess' she accepts my hand and then the door comes swinging open. ' Jess, were you been girl' me and Jess laugh at the girl standing before us, not at her more at her entrance. 'Hey girl, Sophia this is Emma we went to high school together and now I just can't get rid of her' Emma swats Jess on the arm for her comment causing us all to laugh 'Emma this is Sophia' I offer her my hand but she declines and pulls me into a tight embrace, I can't help but smile. 'Your from the uk right' I nod my head whilst taking a sip on the water in my hand. 'Well sister welcome to America, you stick with us and your going to love it here' I think I've just made my first 2 friends and I feel amazing, I could not of asked for a better room mate and firsts friend in America... Let's hope it's all up hill from here.

- please comment and vote what do you guys think of Emma and Jessica, my self I think they're lovely. LOVE MI X
