"sky You going to school today ?" My mom asked me

" I don't know . I have to ask Antonio.  Or I'll just stay home and take the classes online. Mom your probably going to have to call so they know I won't be going."

"Alright. How about we get you dressed and we go to your school so that we can tell them personally and they give you all the information? "

"Yea that works too " I smile " I'll go get dressed "

" alright hurry up so you can eat and we'll go drop off Jason. "

"Jason!" I call my brother

"what?"

" are you ready.?"
He nods and walks to the table to eat his pancakes.

"Alright hunny. I guess first eat breakfast then go throw something on."

"Okay ma." I eat my pancakes thinking about how I'm going to work this school situation out.

"I'm not hungry." My brother says

"Why?"

" no reason " and he walks away.  My mom shocked because he always eats and I instantly run after him

"Jay. Whats wrong? You can't stop eating . You need to eat. We're all sad and hurt because we lost dad but you need to eat. "

he starts crying "I can't. I miss him sky. I miss dad.  I miss his hugs. I miss everything about him! "

I hug him " it'll be fine. I'll always be there for you. Dad will always watch over us. And at some point we'll be reunited with him again. okay?"

He nods and I tell him " get your things so we can go."

"I don't wanna go to school. " he says still sad.

" wanna come with me and Antonio.? Or you wanna stay home?"

"I don't know. "

"Alright well we're going to my school to get something. Come with us and we'll see."

"Okay." We walk towards my mom sitting on the table with her head down.

" mom Jay doesn't want to go to school today."

" it's ok. I know why"  Jason runs over to her and jumps into her arms.

" go get ready. Sky.  We have to go."

"Okay " I run up to my room to get ready.

I quickly took a shower and just tied up my hair throwing on my red  converse, black T-shirt,  and black jeans with my bandana hanging on the back.

"I'm ready! "

"OK let's go "

---at school---

We all got out of the car and started walking towards the school entrance.  Everyone looked at me. My friends running towards me  to hug me.

"Are you staying? " my friends ask

" no I'm not. I have business to take care of. I can't leave my family alone. So I'll probably be back at the end of the school year" 

They all hug me and nod. I tell my mom let's go so we walk into the main office. I tell my mom to go speak with the lady while I sit with my brother on the bench in the hall way.
About 20-30 pass and my mom walks out with a bunch of papers.

"Okay let's go."

" what did they say?"

"Nothing. They just gave me what your going to need"

"Alright. Mom can I drive?"

"Do you want us to get stopped by the cops? " she asked wide eyed.

" they won't stop us. And if they do I'll take care of it with uncle."

"I don't know sky."

"Please mom please!!!!! "
She looked at me and playfully glared
" fine. All your dads fault for teaching you how to drive."

I stare at her and smile wide. Running towards the car with my brother and my mom looking scared

My mom finally opened the car and tossed me the keys. I quickly get in and adjust the seat and blast some music putting one hand on the wheel and easily us out of the school parking lot.
