RIVER P.O.V.- THERE'S A FIRST FOR EVERYTHING
The first day back in school at Esterson High school started off pretty smoothly. Although I have no idea what high school will be like, being the newbie I am, it seems already a little intimidating. I got off the bus when my best friend, Tami, lunged at me with what she calls a "koala hug" ( it's pretty much a bear hug that's her jumping on to me making me fall to the ground, but thats why I love her. ) "Oh my gosh I haven't seen you in like forever! come with me to get our schedules so we can see if we have any classes together!" says Tami in her usual perky attitude. I agree of course because her big golden eyes pleaded me to come with her. "Fine, but don't you think we should get together with the rest of our friends as well?" Tami just smiled and laughed, causing me to laugh as well. Tami is one of those people who can get you to smile on a rainy day, Tami's one of those girls that you always see outside . Her real name is Tiffany Flora Fae it's so down to earth, which really matches her personality...
flashback***
It was a lovely evening in the summer, perfect for camping. Tami and I were about ten and thought that camping would be fun! "Please, can we have a camp-out? please" we both begged our parents. "Well what does Tiffany's say?" my mom ask thinking her parents would say no. "They said it would be lovely for us to get outside and experience nature at it's best!" she exclaimed. My mom murmured something about how her parents were all too "natural" as she put it. After what seemed to be endless hours of convincing we finally got to pack all we needed and we got into the car ... Only to spend endless hours in that too.
We got to the camp late at night so we started getting ready to go to bed when all of a sudden Tami went into this state of mind that seemed to draw her to the forest. Her eyes glazed over making her usual golden eyes a milky color. "Tami, why don't we go to bed? You look a little tired." I said in a weary voice. She wouldn't leave the grass and go into the tent. "No, no you can't make me go!" Tami screamed. Wind started coming from behind Tami making her long blond hair whip in every direction well slowly forcing my black hair into my face until it covered my violet eyes to the point of where I couldn't see. When the wind finally stopped Tami was gone. I didn't know what to do so I went back to the tent hoping that I would awake to find Tami in the tent. When I did wake up Tami was there and back to normal I didn't mention anything that happened to her and is seemed like nothing ever happened. Now Tami gets like that every once in a while it's never been as intense as that night was. When I look back, I see that it was a full moon. Maybe they just bring out the worst in her...
"What are you thinking so hard about River?" Tami asked in a worrying tone. Just a second later she went on dragging me through the schools parking lot straight towards the cafeteria. We met up with a few more of our friends. With Tami squealing with joy for who knows why, my eyes wander onto some group of guys. With one of them standing out to me. Whoever this guy was he was gorgeous, with slightly wavy brown hair with a tall lean body. With a six pack of course. He had a plain gray T-shirt on with a pair of colorful bord shorts. Showing his thick calves. He could be a male model if he really wanted to. At the same moment our eyes met and I saw his beautiful stormy blue eyes looking into mine...
Breath taking.
