"No, no, no, you're being absolutely ridiculous! Vampires drink blood! Accept it! You were doing fine before, why stop now?!" My father Marcus yelled.

"It's my body I'll do with it what I want," I said coolly, ignoring his glare.

His voice became quiet and threatening, "Giro, you've got exactly five seconds to start drinking or so help me I'll--"

"Mark, Honey, calm down," Came Aidan's soothing voice, "He can't avoid it forever, eventually he'll have to start drinking again, and I've got an idea..." With that Aidan led his husband away, whispering something about 'disciplinary', and 'gain'.

I ignored them and stared blankly at the bowl of red liquid in front of me, I'm not thirsty; I won't drink ever again, even if it means I'll waste away and become a blinking corpse instead of a creature of the night.

I pulled on the spoon and felt the way the blood had cooled and congealed, making it more like jello than human nectar. Who would want to drink this stuff anyways?

When they came back Marcus had a smug smirk on his face, he knew something that I didn't...

"I'm sorry I yelled at you, Giro," He said, not looking the least bit apologetic.

"Whatever. Can I leave now?" I asked, giving him the same blank look.

"Yes, you may," He replied, "Go pack your things,"

"Where are we going?"

"We aren't going anywhere,"

"Where am I going?"

"It's not important, just go pack,"

Grumbling to myself I went upstairs to my bedroom and began packing clothes and necessities. Where were they sending me? I swear if they sent me off to some military camp I'm going to escape and kill them.

After I finished packing I went to sleep even though the night was still very young I had nothing better to do so I let sleep take me.

"Giro, it's time to wake up," Aidan said the next night, "You slept all last night and through the day, it's time you get going,"

"Where are you guys sending me?"

He hesitated, "It's a...special place, for boys just like you, we're sending you so you can get better,"

It took me a minute to piece that together, but when I did...

"YOU'RE SENDING ME TO SUMMER CAMP?! How much more lame and cliche could you get?!" I growled.

"It's more of an institution, really, no outdoor time, no campfire, just gray walls and people who are going to make you better," Marcus smirked, that asshole!

"And what if I don't want to get 'better'?"

"It's not really optional, you'll figure it out when you get there,"

"NO! I won't go! You can't make me!" I yelled, but Marcus immediately had my hands in a death-grip.

"Oh, you're going, and you're staying all summer long, and when you get back you'll be lucky if we don't send you there for school," He purred, giving me a Cheshire grin, then he tossed me over his shoulder and Aidan grabbed my bag and then they were forcing me into the car for the long drive to my new personal hell.
