After breakfast, Jimin helped his mother clean up while Yoongi sat quietly, watching the scene unfold. There was a comforting warmth in the way Jimin moved around the house-his care for his mother evident in every little action. Yoongi felt something stir within him, something he wasn't quite ready to name yet.
When Jimin was finally done, his mother sat him down beside her and gently brushed his hair back. "Baby, promise me you'll take care of yourself, eat properly, and not overwork, okay?"
Jimin smiled softly. "I promise, Mom."
She then turned to Yoongi. "And you, son, look after my Jimin, hmm? He tends to forget about himself when he's too busy taking care of others."
Yoongi nodded without hesitation. "I will, Mom. You don't have to worry."
Jimin's heart skipped a beat at Yoongi's words, but he quickly looked away, busying himself with his bag.
The time to leave was approaching fast. Jimin could feel the heaviness settle in his chest. This place, this home-it was where he felt safest. And now he had to leave again.
Sensing his emotions, Yoongi gently nudged him. "Come on, let's go for one last walk around the village before we leave."
Jimin looked at him for a moment before nodding. "Okay."
With that, they stepped outside together, the weight of their departure hanging over them like an unspoken farewell.
As they walked through the familiar paths of the village, Jimin felt a deep sense of nostalgia. The warm sun, the gentle breeze, the distant laughter of children playing-it was all so comforting, yet bittersweet, knowing he had to leave again.
Yoongi walked beside him in silence, occasionally glancing at Jimin's face. He could tell Jimin was feeling emotional, but he didn't know how to comfort him. Instead, he just stayed close, letting their quiet steps speak for them.
Jimin sighed, kicking a small rock on the ground. "It feels like I just got here, and now I have to leave again..."
Yoongi hummed in agreement. "It went by fast."
Jimin looked at him, eyes searching. "Did you... like it here?"
Yoongi stopped walking for a moment, taking in the peaceful surroundings. He had never imagined himself in a place like this, yet now, it felt strangely familiar-almost like home. His gaze softened. "Yeah... I did."
Jimin's lips parted slightly in surprise. "Really?"
Yoongi nodded. "It's different from what I'm used to. But... it felt nice. Peaceful."
Jimin smiled, a little relieved. "I'm glad."
They continued walking until they reached the flower field from before. Jimin sat down on the grass, plucking at a few petals absentmindedly. Yoongi sat beside him, leaning back on his palms, staring up at the sky.
