Rangley high commonly known as hell by majority of our students, we're ranked a C in the Colorado state grading system and yes thats considerd bad. Lucky for me and my fellow classmates it's our senior year so all we have to do is show up. Well for some, not all. We were two weeks into our new school year and already have a count down to our last day, 135 days till we're done with this place. I tap my pencil on my book starring at the board in utter boredom. Someone kicks my chair and I turn around coming face to face with a dark haired boy and his gorgeous brown eyes. "If you're done staring could you move? Your heads in my way" he grumbles, I look down at his paper to see he hadn't written anything down. "Oh please you're not even paying attention" I reply turning back around, he kicks my chair again "what?" this time I get Mrs.Paisley's attention. "Mckenna do we have a issue?" the whole class eyeballs me "nope" I say sarcastically with a smile, she goes back to her lesson and I go back to tapping  my pencil.

The bell rings after what feels like forever and I pick my stuff up heading out the door where I'm met with Sabrina or 'Bri' is what she makes everyone call her. "Hey, how was class?" she chirps "boring like usual, how was yours?" "Well I have a hot piece of eye candy sitting next to me, I've never been so thankful for assigned seating" she giggles as we head to lunch. "Have you and this boy talked yet?" she starts laughing almost spitting out her water "yeah okay me talk to a guy like him alone while sober, you crack me up." I shrug in agreement Bri was a odly shy girl around guys unless I'm with her which luckily for her we always were together.

"Oh there he is" I follow her eyes to the three guys entering the lunch room doors, one of them winking in her direction. The other one who happened to be the guy from class glares at me. "Woah what was that about?" Bri asks flipping her short blonde hair out of her face. "What was that is what is should be asking so enlighten me...what was that?" I elbow her. "Honestly couldn't tell ya" She stuffs her face into her sandwhich and takes out her phone. My phone dings and I take it out of my pocket

I look over at him grinning at me and give him a disgusted look turning back to Bri. "Okay I'm going to ask one more time, what was that?" I laugh and get up to throw my lunch away then head to class. I get there before anyone else and sit in the back row pulling out my phone and scroll through Twitter, Mckinley walks in and sits across from me, "why didn't you just sit there?" I ask pointing to the seat next to me. "Because that's where I sit" Alex says strolling in "and where your little ass is is where my friend sits so scat" "uhm my ass isn't little for one and two no." I cross my arms and he laughs walking over he grabs my waist lifting me out of the chair and throwing me over his shoulder. "ALEX AND MCKENNA WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Mr.Roy shouts walking into the room "nothing sir" I croak. "Psh baby" he whispers. "Shut up" I reply grabbing my stuff from the desk and sitting next to Mckinley as the class files in.

The final bell of the day rings and I find Bri waiting for me at the car talking to the boy from her class. He had brown hair that he had slightly spiked in the front with blue eyes, not going to lie this guy was hot. "Hey Kenna, this is Tyler" "Hey" I give a quick nod and threw my stuff into the back seat. "YO TYLER LETS GO!" I look at the car the voice came from to see Alex honking his horn "that's Alex for ya I'll talk to you later" He shouts over his shoulder jogging to the car. "Talk to you later eh?" I wiggle my eyes at Bri as she gets in the car "We may have shared numbers" "damn go girl you don't need me anymore!" "Yes I do. Trust me." I laugh and put the car into reverse backing out of the spot and heading out of the school parking lot. "Hey how did Alex get your number?" "What?" "Right here you two had a conversation, a very mean one may I say but how'd he get your number?" "I don't know maybe someone gave it to him or something."

After I had dropped Bri off at home I changed into my running clothes and grabbed my headphones leaving for my run, I passed the house at the end of my street and realized it was no longer under construction and a family had already moved in. I ran my normal route and got home just in time for my normal lecture of homework before anything else.  I pretended to do homwork until my mom left and decided to go swimming so I changed and layed by my pool until I heard a series of shouting and what sounded like fighting coming from the road before Alex came running through the trees with what looked like blood coming from his shirt. "ALEX!" He stoppd running and ran over to me putting his hand over my mouth and the other against the bottom of my back. I looked down at his bloody shirt and pulled away and looked at him in shock as his took off running back into the woods.
