She's chained to a wall in a cold, damp cave.
She's been there for years.
All around her, the demons are sleeping. But still manage to whisper their words of doubt in her ear.
"You'll never make it out."
"Bet I can- Bet I will." She says back
It's been years stuck in here. She's finally had enough.
Tonight is the night she breaks out.
She re-gains her strength and breaks free from the wall.
The chains bang against the cold cement floor- waking the demons.
"Damn" She whispers.
She's running now.
Away from the thoughts-
Away from the whispers.
One of them reach out and trips her.
She somehow gets up again and runs out into her new life.
Into the cool air.
She collapses onto the ground as a wave of relief washes over her.
She's finally out-
Finally free.
As tears of joy stream down her face, she looks up at her inspiration to start again-
Up at the night sky.
