Afterwards, jamie took me back to his room where he went to get lunch.
I sat quietly at the back of Jamie's bed; leaning against the wall and holding my legs to my chest just looking at the light from the doorway that is covered by a curtain.

There was silence for a little while till a shadow came from behind the curtain and in stepped Mel with a young toddler and new born. Jack and James.

Mel looked at me carefully probably studying my red puffy face. She gave James to me and sat Jack on her knee.

"Are you alright?"she whispered.

I kept my gaze on my little nephew as I spoke. "No, I feel...alone" I stuttered.

"You know they love you."

"Ho-w di-d you k-now?"

"I just bumped into Saph, she seemed pretty upset."

I nod.

"Lets not talk about that. So.... I heard you shared this room with my brother last night."

I froze, the tone didn't sound amused and to be honest i was a little scared.
"We didn't do Anything.... Honest. I was just too tired last night."

I instantly heard her laughing and I looked up. "What?"

As her laughter died down she looked at me seriously.
"I have no problem with it as long as you don't mess with my brothers head and you don't do anything stupid."

"I'm eighteen i think I'm a big girl now," i smiled. She smiled back.
Jamie then walked in holding a sandwich and handing me it.

"I have to get back to work but Jeb said you can have a break; I'll see you at the docks," he turned and walked out with a slight nod on my behalf. I forgot i was helping move boxes.

"I'll take that as my que," she scooped up Jack on her side and I passed James back to her. She left without another word.

I ate my sandwich in silence. When did my life become a show of drama?why was i given only questions and never an answer? I sighed in frustration.

I was halfway into my sandwich when I heard an ear piercing scream that made me cringe.

I put my sandwich down and ran to the noise. It led me down some more dark tunnels. Again i didn't know where i was but, i was only thinking about the girl who sounded like she was dyeing.

As I grew nearer into a lightened area i saw a small figure laying down scrunched into a ball whimpering.

"Hello? Are you ok?" She let out another scream and I fell to my knees wanting to help her. She was grabbing her stomach and was sweating.

I felt her forehead; she was burning up. When she stopped screaming again but, still panting i spoke. She mustn't be more than 13. There was no one else around. Where is everyone? Shouldn't there be at least someone?

"Hi sweetie," i whispered into her ear. "Can you tell me your name?"
"L-i-i-sa" she stuttered through her heavy breathing. She looked up at me as her blonde hair stuck to her forward almost covering her green eyes.

"Can you tell me where it hurts?" I ask calmly.
As I grew up on my own; there was obviously times i had hurt myself so I knew a few things about being a doctor and one thing was to remain calm. If you weren't calm then they would panic and it would make the situation much worse.

"Everywhere b-u-t, my heart hurts more," she made out before whimpering shutting her eyes tight.

"OK Lisa, I'm Emma and don't worry I'm not going anywhere," i reply quickly. I put my hand on her stomach as she screams again. How was no one hearing this?
