I awoke to the sound of loud music playing. I walked over to my bedroom door and put on the light as I rubbed my eyes along the way, nearly banging my head against the wall. I walked to my window to soon realise the music was coming from the house across the road. Partying away without a care in the world. I frowned. The town's folk have never met the new people across the road yet. They only moved in two days ago, yet they seemed to have met enough people to throw a party.

"Going to turn that blasting light off, Aaliyah?

I am trying to sleep. You know I have a big project at school tomorrow that I can not mess up. Plus, you know if I don't get my full eight hours then I can kiss my dream job goodbye," my younger sister, Hope groaned.

"Hope, how come it was the light that woke you up and not the party going on across the road?"

"Well, maybe because the light is so bright!" She yelled.

"Fine. I'll turn the goddamn light off, will that make you happy?"

"Yes, it will, thank you."

It was first thing in the morning when Aaliyah woke again. The sun shined through her window as she climbed out of bed to brush her hair. Still feeling as if she was in a dream, Aaliyah climbed into the shower to prepare herself for the day ahead. Sorting her books out for the day into her school back, she rushed down the stairs for breakfast. She saw her mother and sister come into view.

"Hey, Hope who do you think has moved in across the road."

"I don't know, Aaliyah, can't I just have a bit of peace to eat my breakfast? " she moaned, rolling her eyes.

"Mum, do you know who moved in across the road?" I said, turning around. My mum was sitting on the couch drinking her morning coffee while watching Good Morning on the TV.

"I can't say that I do, honey. But my friend Janet said it is a young boy about your age living with his older brother and their parents. Why do you ask?"

" l just thought I heard them having a party last night, and I was just wondering if you knew who lived there."

"Aw, okay honey, but I didn't hear any party last night. Maybe you dreamed it. I would probably have been aware of it with your father going off his nut about not getting his sleep," she said, and we both giggled.

"Hey Sally!" I shouted to my best friend as I hurried toward her in the corridor. She beamed at me when she saw me coming.

"Guess what I have just found out there." she giggled.

"There is a new boy that has joined today and he is so cute and Aaliyah you have to see him as I feel that i'm falling in love!"

"Sally!" I cut her off as she started rambling on like usual.

"Breathe," I said, both burst out into a laughing fit.

"Sally where is Tara today then?"

"Em, I don't know actually—oh wait, there she is! Let's go and get her."

"Hey Tara!" We said as. Tara didn't answer; she was too busy drooling over a dark-haired boy across the canteen.

"Tara!" I shouted, which made her snap out of it.

"Oh yeah, hi, how are you both?"

"Who are you staring at?" Sally questioned.

"Oh, just the new boy, Alejandro. He is very gorgeous." She squealed like a fan girl .

"I know, isn't he?" Sally agreed.

"Oh lord, I'm going to the vending machine to get a drink," I said, scanning my lovestruck friends.

After I got my drink I turned round only to bump into an extremely handsome man.Towering over me I caught a glimpse of his eyes.Piercing blue like ice. I felt myself getting lost deeper and deeper into his eyes the more I look. My heart pounding in my chest as I looked. I struggled to think of a reply to this gorgeous human being.

"Oh, hi, sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you there."

" It's ok, hermosa." He turned round saying in a thick Spanish accent.

"What does that mean? " I said, looking up at him, regretting saying it straight after.

"My beautiful."
