Love Bites (Liam Payne Fanfic)

Chapter 5

 "Oh great!"

 "Riley? Is that you?" A female voice called my name. It was my best friend from my human years, Ali Ziemer. She changed a lot, her hair used to be blonder than blonde, now it was a dark, almost black, brown that was cut shoulder length.

 "Ali? what are you doing here?"  We hugged and took a good look at each other.

 "With my mate. how long have you been here?"

 "A few years. Whose your mate?" She turned to the group of boys with Liam and held out her hand for a guy in a striped white shirt, red pants, kind brown eyes, and a smile that stretched from ear to ear platered on his face.

 "Riley, meet Louis."  The way they looked at each other made my heart swell. I could have that with Liam.

 "Hold up! Lets go someplace and talk. Follow me." I led them back through the town to the warehouse.

 "This is where you live."

 "Used to, I was planning on leaving."

 "Why?" Another female voice sounded throughout the room. I knew who it was without even seeing them.

 "Brianna, your here too?"

 "Yeah, same reason as Ali. This is Harry." She clung to a boy with brown curly hair and bright green eyes.

 "Nice to meet you, love." I nodded my head. Brianna, Ali, and I go way back, like secondary school back.

 "Why were you planning on leaving?" Ali was shocked. I looked her right in the eyes, they started to shimmer (it happens when were near our mate and they havent marked us) and then I glanced at Liam. She got the hint immediatly and instantly perked up.

 "Oh. My. Goodness!! Riley, you found him!!"

 "Found who?" Liam asked.

 "You silly. Riley here is your other half, your soul mate, the person you were made for."

 "Ali I cant tell him who I am. He wont believe me."

 "He'll believe you, trust me love." A boy with black hair that was spiked in the front said. Brianna pushed Liam towards me. I grabbed his hand as I led him to the other side of the warehouse.

 "This is hard, I havent been around people much."

 "You can tell me anything. i'll always be here to listen."

 "Well, Im a vampire. Have been for too many years. I didnt want to tell you earlier because I thought you'd call me a freak and leave. I planned on leaving to weaken the bond between us. The thing is, if i stayed away for too long, I would die. The pain would literally kill me and I figured the pain of hurting you would be lost with me." My face fell to my lap. He reached up, took my face in his hand, and brushed away a tear that escaped. Making me look into his eyes, he mad ehis feelings clear.

 "I would never do that! Leaving you would be like tearing out my heart and ripping it into a million tiny pieces. I have only known you for a few hours and already I would jump into danger if it meant you were safe. I love you too much, and thats why I want you to change me." His face was completely serious.

 "I could never do that to you! Your soul would be lost forever like mine and I dont want that for you. You have a life, and a family, and friends, I cant take that away!"

 "Whats the point in being with you, if enventually im going to grow old and die? If you and I are meant to be together, then I want to be together as equals. We could have eternity together like Louis and Ali, or Harry and Brianna. I want this, for us." I thought on his words for a little while while we sat. Finally, I came to a conclusion.

 "I wont change you," He started to look annoyed. "Yet. I'll wait until the time is right and then, I might change you." I smiled.

 "I love you, Riley." He bent his head and our lips met. Our first kiss as mates!
